So, I am not too worried about it - but I also don't really care that much about the ceremony set up - so I never aksed the questions. You will be able to see my pictures in 4 weeks though!!!

Here is the picture I said I wanted my gazebo to look like:

I must have looked at 200 weddings on the beach pictures to finally decide so I know how you feel.
Amy, that is beautiful. Exactly what I want - we're going to have beautiful natural scenery so I don't think overdoing it with flowers is necessary.

Thanks for checking in on me!! We had SO SO much fun!!!!! We didn't really see much rain...it was crazy cause it looked as if the sky was going to fall out every second of the day. I got there Thursday, which of course was gorgeous weather...of course it would happen that way...beautiful the day BEFORE our engagement pics. ha But i went and got my hair and makeup done and all that. The had my BD pictures for 3 hours!!! She took over 500 pics, so hopefully, I can find 10 or so that I like. We did them at The Roosevelt hotel. I had maybe 5 outfits I think. If you have never been to that hotel, you need to go!! What a cool hotel! That night we just ate dinner at his brother's house and got up bright and early for our engagement pics. We went all up and down Bourbon, throughout the French Quarter, and up to Uptown. They went from about 9 to 2! SO MUCH FUN!! However, it was SUPER SUPER SUPER humid, so my hair was a DISASTER!! oh well, it will just have to look bad in the pics. It sprinkled for about 15 minutes and that was the only rain we encountered. whew! That night we ate at Martinique. Then Saturday, we went to Jazz Fest allllll day. The weather was actually great that day because it was cloudy, so not too hot, but we didn't see a single rain drop. We ate at Dominica that night and went out. Then we left Sunday morning...so glad cause I heard it was a torrential downpour all day.

If anyone is looking for a fun weekend getaway, I highly recommend New Orleans. We go about 10 times a year. Super cheap flights on Southwest and sooooo much to do!!! My photographer was in heaven taking pictures with all the cool buildings and lights and colors and all.

I will keep you guys posted on when I get to see the pictures!! My photographer is Lauren Harris Photography.

Sorry for the novel!

Lindsay, I am so happy to hear you had an awesome bd shoot and can't wait to see pictures if you share them!!
...you were so cute asking if you could call anyone! ...I don't think you can but thanks for the offer :)

The owner of our travel agency called and apologized for the way this situation was presented and she is being very cooperative in helping us get this sorted out. It will not work for us to leave on the day we had planned, so we have to change our wedding date. Due to the hassle of changing the flight, they are reimbursing our guests $150 and upgrading our room. However, because we have to change our wedding date, we have to get our engravings on our rings changed, and our photographer is no longer available. The TA said they will pay for our deposit if we lose it, but I'm going to expect more than that because I still can't have Claudia who I wanted. A lot of things are still up in the air, but the TA is working on it....I'm not even sure if I can still have our reception at the venue we want with the date changed. i will keep you updated. thanks for listening and your support!

Hi guys,

Im back from my wedding at the Sensatori!! I had the most AMAZING day!! We were so lucky!!First to even get out there because of the volcanic ash and secondly with the weather! It rained everyday before the wedding, monsoon rain!!! but on the day it was perfect.

The WC are really good there, they did everything lovely! We had our ceremony on the sky deck, which was beautiful (bit windy), we had the mexican cocktail party in the yoga area, where we had the mariachi band and the donkey - which were a huge hit, then we had the reception in the (cant remember what it was called) gazebo by the pool, which was fab!!

The best thing though-was our photographer -CHRIS SCHMITT- he was awesome!!!! Im so glad we got him-thank you for recommending him amy- he was so nice to work with and we are so so pleased with our photos. Here is the link to them:

Honestly though, you have nothing to worry about!! they have about two weddings a day, the WC are very organised and will have everything under control. The resort is lovely and the staff are lovely. Its the people who are there that will make your day anyway!!

I just want to say "hi" to Melissa -sun kissed bride(I think) she got married a couple of days after me, and Andrew and I spent our last night down on the beach with Melissa and Cody getting very drunk!! but it was fun!!! :-) hope you had a safe trip home!

Goodluck with the planning girlies!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
