Hi guys, Im back from my wedding at the Sensatori!! I had the most AMAZING day!! We were so lucky!!First to even get out there because of the volcanic ash and secondly with the weather! It rained everyday before the wedding, monsoon rain!!! but on the day it was perfect. The WC are really good there, they did everything lovely! We had our ceremony on the sky deck, which was beautiful (bit windy), we had the mexican cocktail party in the yoga area, where we had the mariachi band and the donkey - which were a huge hit, then we had the reception in the (cant remember what it was called) gazebo by the pool, which was fab!! The best thing though-was our photographer -CHRIS SCHMITT- he was awesome!!!! Im so glad we got him-thank you for recommending him amy- he was so nice to work with and we are so so pleased with our photos. The resort is lovely and the staff are lovely. Its the people who are there that will make your day anyway!! I just want to say "hi" to Melissa -sun kissed bride(I think) she got married a couple of days after me, and Andrew and I spent our last night down on the beach with Melissa and Cody getting very drunk!! but it was fun!!! :-) hope you had a safe trip home! Hi Everyone, I leave tonight!!! I get married on Monday!!! argh!!!!! Sorry I haven't written on here much but i dont know what I would have done without this forum!! Its been so nice to hear that everyone else was going through the same emotional roller-coaster. I should be excited but im a little nervous - there are some really bad reviews on trip advisor at the moment and the weather forecast gives rain there for the next 7 days!!! I live in the UK, the whole point of us booking a wedding abroad was to avoid the rain!! hahaha! Oh well, what will be, will be :-) Thank you all for the posts - Kittenheart- thanks for the photographer recommendation, Chris is flying out on Sunday!! :-) I will post a review and pics as soon as I can ( I always loved the reviews and pics) :-) Thanks once again!! :-) Anneliese

Hey guys, Anyone had any more luck with the photographer situation? Im starting to panic, im getting married in just over 6 months and im worried if I leave it any longer i wont be able to get a photographer but I dont want to settle for just anyone. Grrrrrr!! has anyone got any ideas?

Im not very impressed with them too be honest, I also think they are plain and very unnatural. They didnt WOW me! I have sent an email of complaint to my WC who has said she will pass this on but i havent heard anything back from the maangement. I've told them that for a hotel of this standard I would expect an equivalant high standard of photographer eg Elizabeth Medina/Claudia. Im getting worried now because if the hotel does happen to turn around and say we can have an outside photographer, will they have availability? arghhhh!!! There is another approved photographer, Matias Cano but I wasn't impressed with these ones either.

Wow!! Your photos are amazing!!! Congratulations!! Did you have any problems having Elizabeth Medina at the Sensatori? Can I be cheeky and ask how much your photos cost? I would be interested in exactly what you had. Thanks Anneliese

Unfortunately i'm not sure how it will work for me coz I booked through Thomsons in the UK and not Lomas. I will look into it though. With regards to prices, it all depends on when they will be going, but our guests are paying around £1100 for one week all inclusive at the Sensatori hotel. I recommend having a look at the prices on the Thomson website, they are always a bit cheaper than booking in the shop. Let me kow if you need any further info. Does anyone know of anyone who has actually used Caribe or the other photogropher(sorry forgot his name) so we can have a look at some of thier work?

Hi Katie 2010, sorry for late reply, I havent been on here for a few days so just catching up now. Thomsons "said" everything was booked/confirmed when we booked everything in January, but we just never received written confirmation. I just rang/called in the office everyday but that wasnt working, in the end I took my mum with me, who kicked up a big fuss and said she is putting a formal complaint in and gave them a couple of days to get everthing done. We have gone for the Silver package, only because we wanted to pick our own photgrapher, little did we know that we would only have the option of two!! Anyway, yes its so nice to find another UK bride, so please let me know you plans etc. I still have 9 months to go but im so excited!!! This forum has been such a great help, i feel like i know the hotel already, hee hee. Please email me if you want any other info. Aneliese

Hiya, I have alss been told that the only two photographers contracted now at the Sensatori hotel are Caribe and the other one (sorry forgot his name). I as many of you are, am not happy at all with these options . I am not very impressed by their websites and for me photos are one of the most important things! What I dont understand is that on Lomas website they offer you Claudia and Mexican wedding photos (I would be more than happy to choose one of these photographers) and since Sensatori is part of Lomas shouldnt they have to honour these choices too? I dont know about anyone else but I will be sending a complaint to my WC and asking her to pass it on to management/hotel and asking for a reply. Maybe if those of you who are also not happy about this situation could also send a complaint in, they may re-consider their options of photographers?

Hi Katie 2010 - Im also from the UK and getting married in April 2010. I booked with Thomsons in January 09 and only had my confirmation last month!!! We have had to chase them for everything!! It was only when we said we were putting in a formal complaint that they processed the wedding booking form and we had our wedding date confirmed. We are still waiting on confirmation for our two week prices from them. I am on the phone to them nearly everyother day. They keep telling us that everything is fine and everyone is booked and when they eventually gave us some confirmation there were loads of things wrong (ie prices, names, room types). Anyway we are getting there but very slowly. My only advice would be to keep on top of them and keep pestering them for confirmation. The one good thing is the wedding co-ordinator is fab!! She replies within 24 hours and supplies lots of pictures Can I just ask, has anyone had a problem booking Claudia photogrpahers at the Sensatori? I really want Claudia Photographers but my wedding co-ordinator has emailed me saying that they are no longer approved at the Sensatori? Has anyone else had this problem??

Hi everyone, Im new to the TTD, its not very well known in the UK, I love the idea though. The photos i've seen of these are gorgeous. Do you do the TTD photos the same day as the wedding or would you get the photographer to came back another day for them? xxx

Hi Nicole, i have booked the Sensatori Resort for our wedding. We have booked through Thomsons for April 2010. We are still waiting for our confirmation for the wedding, they have been a bit slow. Let me know if you need to know anything. Lisa x
