hey everyone. i received my magnets in the mail and they look awesome, i couldn't have hoped for a better size or quality. Now I've moved on to a letter to send along with the magnet. So far this is what i got.

Any suggestions or errors that anyone can notice? What kind of paper should i print it on?

Dear Family and Friends,

As you may know, we have been planning a small, intimate, wedding abroad. To make it special we've decided to get married in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. Nuevo Vallarta is just north of Puerto Vallarta and promises to be warmer than both Canada and the States in October. It also boasts remarkably beautiful architecture, great food, fun beaches, and tons of historic charm.

Although we want to have a small and simple wedding, there are some special friends whom we would love to be with our families and us on our special day. We hope you too can join us so we are sending you this letter so that you can save the date.

We will be traveling to Nuevo Vallarta on the week of October 6th-13th. We plan to get married in the afternoon on Wednesday the 10th. A wonderful reception and dinner will follow shortly after the ceremony.

October is a very busy month for many. We realize that this may make it difficult for you to come to Mexico, and we would understand if you are unable to join us. Our fingers will be crossed and we’ll be absolutely delighted if you can make it! We think you'll find lots to do and enjoy your vacation in Mexico for as long as you choose to stay before or after the wedding.

We'll be sending a formal invitation in the near future. For now we need to get a general idea of the number of guests ahead of time. Puerto Vallarta does a brisk tourist trade all year long, and the month of October also gets busier for hotels and restaurants due to vacationers. For this reason, our wedding planner is already encouraging us to get an approximate number of guests for some of the reservations she needs to make. We understand that an RSVP at this point would be considered tentative, but it would help us out a lot.

You may contact Jared at xxx xxx or Melissa at xxx xxx. You may also reach Jared via e-mail at @msn.com or Melissa at to let us know if you can join us in Mexico this October. We look forward to hearing from you and ultimately seeing you in Mexico for this wonderful day!

Also, make sure you visit our website at XXX for up to date details on the wedding and travel!

Fondly,

Jared & Melissa

YES I love that idea of a monogram on linen paper! But then i have to decide on color and I really can't make up my mind. haha And I've been trying to make a monogram on my own for a week now and it's getting sooo frusterating!

Do you think I should mention the hotel or travel agent? Or should I just leave them the way they are and rely on me communicating to my guests through email, phone etc?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
