This is exactly what I have been waiting to see as an inspirational cake:

I'm hoping for this cake at our AHR, the flavor will be banana and chocolate

Ours is for our AHR, which more than likely wont cost anything.

We're not having that cake recreated because I'm sure it would cost us an arm and a leg :( but I do love it.

I agree!! They try to squeeze every cent that they can out of you. Glad we get useful information from each other on this forum to get around the costs. The cake really is not a big deal to me. Therefore, will be going with a basic, simple cake. I'm thinking of adding real flowers in my colors to make it pop for the photos and of course dress up the cake a bit.

Diamond Girl, You should look into bringing gum paste flowers for your cake. They can be made to look very realistic, are edible and won't wilt. I'm actually going to make some on my own to match the bouquets I made.

Im doing no beach theme by any means..just romantic and relaxed :)

This isn't my cake but maybe an inspiration pic. I want two round tiers..but i'm not gonna stress over it since I know Mexico doesn't do the best cakes lol
