Azul Sensatori or elsewhere??? Help!!!!

Recommended Posts

Oh I think Jenny also considered the Fives.

My choice for Sensatori was simple. I liked the restaurants, bar/lounges and beach location better. It seemed to have a little more of a vibe to me.

The sky deck sold my FI who loves the web-cast idea but we both really wanted a beach wedding so we'll have to see. We might use the space for something else.

Hey,

Was wondering if any one else was in the same situation. We decided to get married at Azul Sensatori in May of 2009, based on the wedding package of "Signature Vacations Wedding 2008/2009" Magazine. It quotes in there "Dinner reservations for the entire wedding party in Los Arrecifes International restauant" When we talked to the wedding planner at the resort they said they only offer dinner at Spoons restaurant for 40 people. We will have close to 80 people so hosting a private event is going to be alot.

Curious, what is everyone else is doing? Or am I just being too cheap?

Thanks

Heather in Calgary. AB

Hi Heather,

I am getting married there in April.

A lot of us don't know where we will be having our dinners/reception since the resort is not open yet. With that many people, you will most likely have to pay for a private function.

Check out the Azul Sensatori thread under the Riviera Maya. Lots of questions and answers over there!

We chose The Fives over The Sensatori. BOTH resorts look gorgeous. We kept going back and forth between which resort we wanted.
When asking our TA how to compare the two this is what she had to say in an email. "As for the differences between the resorts it will be more of a sense of the 5's will be in Playa, so it will be a more active resort and the other onewill probably have a more relaxed beach feel to it. The beach at 5's will also be larger" I left it up to my FI and he chose The Fives.

Are there any other Azul Fives brides out there?

Hi Jenny...congratulations! I am very interested in getting married at the azul sensatori as well in the mayan. I am also looking at Aruba through the RIU hotel. However, my fiance and i are not religious and we would not want mention of God during our ceremony. The riu emailed me that the only way i could have a symbolic ceremony is to have a legal wedding inside...not on the beach. Only religious ceremonies are held on the beach. What about Azul...do you have a choice for what is said during your ceremony?

You should be able to. I suggest that you contact Fabio at Karisma directly. PM me if you need the contact info.

Good Luck!

I am getting married at the Fives next November and chose it primarily because of the proximity to PDC (although I was thinking of switching after reading about the sky weddings at Sensatori!). I believe it's a little smaller than Sensatori which is nice because we didn't want a mega-resort feel. If anyone knows a little more about the available ceremony/reception locations, I would love to hear. Don't think we'll be able to make it down for a scouting trip sad.gif

Thats so funny... I was trying to have my wedding at Azul Sensatori only to find out they didn't have my date available.. which happens to be your date as well! So I tried Azul beach, they didn't either and I tried the Fives... it was available but the cost was more than we wanted to spend.. we would have had weddings at the same resort on the same day! Small world! However I wasn't ready to give up on the Karisma weddings.. so we are at the Eldorado Seaside Suites! I took it as a sign from Sensatori to move to a different resort.. specially after hearing some of the reviews..

Hi girls,

I could really use some help. I am in love with Azul Sensatori but I'm afraid that my guests will not be able to afford to stay there. I would like to get married in June 2010 but my dates are flexible. I would really like to know what room rates to expect from the resort. Can anyone please let me know what deal you got? You can email me at [email protected]. Thanks so much! - Kathy smile36.gif

I got rates starting at $603 per person for three nights. My wedding is July 31, 2010 so the stay would be from 7/30-8/2. I think they have a special going on now where if you book at least 21 rooms you get a 15% discount on rooms, 15% off private events and the wedding couple gets a free room upgrade.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
