[QOTE=nibsmom;947118]As far as I know this is true. I don't know if certain Mexican photographers have relationships with the resorts that allow them to do weddings, but when I was looking for a photographer, I got a lot of flat out "no, didn't you know MP doesn't allow Mexican photographers?"'s back in emails. I think they only way to possibly get around it would be to pay for them to stay a night or two - which some photographers are not really willing to do I guess.[/QUOTE]

Hi, can I ask who you used please?

      Thanks.

        Hi Nibsmom,

Can I ask how this works? Did you have to fly him over and pay for his accomodation?

        Thanks :)

Nibsmom said that you used the hotel photographer for your ceremony, can I ask did you upgrade your package or not. Im presuming from your colours that you had the amber collection (this is the one that I am looking at for my wedding). Was the photographer good and what did you get for your package?

Sorry about all the questions but I dont want to compromise on my photos as our parents wont be coming with us and I want to make sure that they can see great pics when we return.

We had the old deluxe package. I didn't even know it included decor in the gazebo and was pleasantly surprised. Our package included a basic photography package that we did upgrade. See below!

We specifically requested David Pena. He was our phtographer. Originally, we were going upgrade to a package that would bring him back for a couple hours of reception. If I remember correctly, it would of been and extra $845. After really thinking about it, we decided to only do a small upgrade of $220 that gave us more photos (500) and a 64 page album with larger prints.

David did a fantastic job of our wedding photos and photos after the wedding. BUT I am still regretting not having a destination photagrapher team come with us and take pictures of our couple days events and all day the wedding day. I have seen several other brides that brought in their photographers for two or three days of events (usually and man and woman team that spends the entire wedding day with you and DH and attends your other events before and after the wedding) and they truly have photos to share with ones that didn't come. I have some great photos from friends but there are still those special ones that I didn't think to take nor did anyone else take. A professional would of probably captured those things.

Again, I was VERY satisfied with David....... Also we got a DVD of the entire wedding and photo shoot afterwards. We love sharing that with everyone that couldn't make it.

I paid $820 to upgrade my package. We had more than enough pictures and he threw in some black and whites. I gave him a nice tip before I left and before he finished processing the pictures so I think that helped give us so many pictures.

Tina- I have been having issues with walgreens doing prints, they harass me each time asking for a release and then I tell them it was done in Mexico and we own the pictures and we go through this whole thing. Have you encountered this and how can I do the prints without having to give my life story each time?

Well, it varies by photographer, but yes. I paid for Misti's flight and hotel for three nights. I actually split her with another bride on the forum, so we each paid half the flight.

Honey, I have been using online services. I use Walgreens.com and Mpix.com for nicer services. I love MPix's Standouts and Gallery Wraps! Some places have you check a box that states you have the right to make the copy.... Makes it much easier. AND Walgreens gives you a "matte" option instead of a glossy option online!

I did the online too but I picked them up in store, do you mean you ordered them to be shipped to your house?

Has anyone that got married at the MP used Ivan Luckie photography?

I would love to see some pics as I am considering booking him
