I don't think the disco is a rain location for Coba or Akumal, it'll probably be a restaurant.

I know I've been in and out but I'm getting married in 19 days! It's crunch time!
Here's what I have planned so far:
We arrive at the resort Weds Nov 12th, the wedding is Nov 15th.
Wedding is at 4:00, sunset is at 5:00 so this should be perfect timing. We are doing the symbolic ceremony and plan to add our own readings and vows
After the wedding, dinner is at 6:00, we are doing the Mexican Theme dinner with the DJ until 8:00. Then we're keeping the DJ and open bar pool side until 11:00. We are planning to use some songs from our ipod and let him DJ the rest.
We chose orange table clothes for the dinner and orange roses for the flowers.
Now my questions!

Did you ladies do a rehearsal? If so, when did that happen?
If you added readings to your ceremony, when did you give the readings to the officiant?
Did you meet the officiant before the wedding?
Were you able to take off your all inclusive bracelets for the wedding and get new ones afterwards? (I don't want the bracelets in my pictures!

Did you do welcome bags in the rooms? If so, how were they distributed? Also, were you able to bring food for the bags? I remember reading that you can't bring food into Mexico...
Were you able to get a listing of the guests and what rooms they are in? It would be nice for my guests to be able to find each other

I think that's all for now, thanks SO much, in advance, for any info that you can share. I'll be around a LOT between now and when we leave on Nov 12th!

It's almost wedding time! Congratulations!! I have answered below in red.

I did not do a rehearsal nor were we allowed to... however I'm sure you could organize your own if you wanted. However, I did notice that with a wedding coordinator they basically tell you where to go and when so you don't really need a rehearsal. If you added readings to your ceremony, when did you give the readings to the officiant? I added a sand ceremony and I gave the paperwork to the coordinator during the meeting before the wedding. The officiant did NOT read it however. I had a guest do this. So I'm not sure. Sorry. Did you meet the officiant before the wedding? NOPE Were you able to take off your all inclusive bracelets for the wedding and get new ones afterwards? (I don't want the bracelets in my pictures! ![]() Yup. The wedding couple, bridesmaids/groomsmen, and parents are allowed to cut theirs off for the day. Did you do welcome bags in the rooms? If so, how were they distributed? Also, were you able to bring food for the bags? I remember reading that you can't bring food into Mexico... I did weclome bags, however I just handed them out. There was a lot of weirdness with our rooms and I didn't trust them to hand them out. I did not have food in mine. Were you able to get a listing of the guests and what rooms they are in? It would be nice for my guests to be able to find each other ![]() No. However if you asked VERY nicely they would tell you where they were located (section and approx room number). I think that's all for now, thanks SO much, in advance, for any info that you can share. I'll be around a LOT between now and when we leave on Nov 12th! ![]() |
