Mo, bless your heart! I bet you can't wait for all this IV stuff to go away! It will be so worth it in the end though (of course you already know that!). I hope they are able to get you off IV next week!

So.....I keep thinking I am going to deliver early. I have a feeling this boy is huge and since I already have va jay jay issues, you think he might. Of course I wanna wait until at least 38 weeks though. You think this is happening early or am I right on track?

That sucks Mo!! Hopefully you will be done with your IV soon.

Martha - I keep thinking I might go early too. Something inside just tells me this boy is huge as well and that he might not wait til the end. I go back to the doc on the 9th and am going to see if they will schedule a sono so we can check him out.

I know exactly what you're talking about Martha. I never in a million years thought I would have a baby shower. It was so weird registering for things that were actually going to be mine.

I'm also having my family shower on the 20th. I can't wait!

Thanks Mo! It's so strange knowing I'm so close and how our life is about to completely be turned upside down!!

I registered Luke for daycare on Tuesday. I'm so nervous. They don't have an opening until March 4th - which is great because I go back to work around February, so my mom is going to keep him for about a month or so. He will be about 4 months when he starts daycare. He's going to have 9 other kids in his class with 3 teachers. I'm going to pop in on them alot between now and then just to check things out.

Ahhh. Day care. Those 2 words scare me. One of the reasons we moved back from San Antonio. I was afraid that I wouldn't find a place that I would like.

At least her there is a Methodist church that supposedly has a great day care. I think when he is about 4 months I will drop him off once a week (while I am hoping to substitute teach) so we can both get used to it.

9 students with 3 teachers is a good ratio! Do they have a webcam?

I hated the thought of daycare too (I still do actually). My mom is at home during the day and keeps a little boy, which is ideal for me to just take him over there (about a 25 minute drive). BUT my mom is a gossiper and a litte dramatic and something inside just tells me to take him to daycare. There is at least a 6 month wait on all the daycares in my area. You might want to look into the church soon to be sure he will have a spot when you're ready.

As for cameras. No there are none. But the baby room is in the front of the daycare with windows all around the room. So, the director can see in from the office and you can see in through the hallway that everyone walks down. So I know they won't do anything bad to him that someone might not see. Also, he won't be going until he is 4 months old. I'm on maternity leave for 9 weeks, then my mom will keep him until March 4th, which is when his spot is available. So it's not like I'm shipping him off to daycare at 9 weeks old.

Sounds like he will be safe!

The day care I want to take Noah to doesn't have webcams either, and I think I would be obsessed with watching him all day anyhow!

The day care that we are looking in to has a few spots available now, I just don't know when we will start taking him...oh and they accept baies at 2 weeks! I can't imagine going back to work 2 weeks after I deliver, much less leaving my baby in the care of someone else while he is so young! I feel for those that have to do that....

I had a dream last night (actually this morning when I finally fell asleep) that I had a baby girl and that she came early. When she was born, she was huge. Like she looked like a 4 or 5 month old. Anyhow, when she was 2 days old she was already turning over in her sleep! ha!

I would totally obsess over the webcam too. I'm kinda glad they're not in there. I'm sure he will be ok.

I could NOT imagine having to take my 2 week old to a daycare. Holy crap!! At least the service is there for the poor mom that has too. I'm freakin cause I will be taking him at almost 4 months.

I've also been having crazy dreams...lol. I had a dream the other night the Luke stuck his face up against my stomach, and I could see his face through my skin. I was so happy I could see what he looked like. I'm such a freak!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
