I hired a cleaning lady!

Well actually it's more like a team of ladies. John and I have been going back and forth on this for awhile now, and we finally made the decision to go for it. We pay them $85 to come every 3 weeks. They are all super nice and do a FANTASTIC job. Everytime they come they clean the whole house (bathroom, kitchen...), but then they also focus on one part of the house to really clean. This week was the walls. She was a referal from a friend. She lives in SF but goes down towards the peninsula for jobs. So if anyone is looking for one, PM me and I can give you her contact info. It has alleviated a lot of stress for me...I hate cleaning the bathrooms.

Oh lord, how I wish you and your clean-team lived in Seattle. We need help with this sooooo bad. It's so hard to keep an overstuffed house with kids and animals clean.

I think you guys will be sooo happy you decided to do this.

yes. i always had to mentally prepare myself for it a couple of days in advance. i don't mind tidying it up, but to scrub the toilets and floors, and tub is a different story.

We also hired a cleaning lady. She comes with one of her friends. Its $100 a week for us, for about 1300sf. We are now trying to cut out two bedrooms to get it down to 80. We shall see how that works out.

Its definitely a great idea to get referrals from friends. Atleast you know you can trust the people coming in when you aren't home. That is if they come in when you aren't home.

Scrubbing the tub is so hard! I'm only barely 5'3", and to try and reach the wall from standing outside the tub, or kneeling and leaning over the edge with the side of the bathtub cutting off your air supply is a beotch! It sucks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
