So very True!!! I have the date confirmed. I guess i am just wanting confirmation on the time of the event and when dinner. I am getting everything done at the resort so like my hair and photos are all being taken care by her... oh well.. I sent a long email asking these questions. So hopefully by the end of the week she will address some of my concerns!

thanks for making me feel a little better ladies! i guess if it isn't perfect who cares no wedding is. I don't know why i stress about the stupidest things (OOT bags) silly mesmile35.gif

The only thing that really suprises me is the non-confirmed time. Like what if you really were dead set on an evening one and they couldn't give that to you. So odd to do business that way. Are you sending out invites to? It seems like this would screw up your projects.

I hope you hear from her soon!

  • 2 weeks later...

We were able to get our date and time confirmed almost immediately, but didn't officially hear from the WC about making plans until we were about 3 months out. Now we email back and forth just about everyday. I'm a tad OCD about my wedding, so I have to make sure that everything I want is accounted for.

Are you doing a legal ceremony or symbolic - I would assume if you were doing legal that they would have confirmed with the judge (at least that was the case for me - paid the deposit and got confirmation in Dec 2007 for November 200cool.gif. If it's symbolic it might be a different story!

When I requested the date, I also requested the time of the ceremony and reception.

I email my wedding coordinator pretty frequently and have already met her once when I flew down there last summer to check out the place.

I will meet with her one more time, prob next month of early June before the wedding to sign a final contract on pricing and discuss how we want everything to go so there are no surprises. :)

Talk to her :)

I mean i know you make most of your decisions when you get down theere but I don't know........
I've been in contact w/ mine for the past year or so. For our hotel, we have to send a list of and pay for the amenities, locations for the events, etc. 30 days ahead of time. I pretty much had everything all confirmed about 4 months in advance, though. If I were you, I would contact the resort and ask to speak to someone and to get a contact.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
