Thank you all for keeping your eyes and ears open. I'm really hoping something opens up soon, and will be willing to let him have the time off so soon after he'd be starting. Blahhhh...I'm on another arts & crafts kick this weekend, so I've been busy with my rhinestone hot-fix gun hehehe...Spend the afternoon in NYC at M&J Trimming so you KNOW I'm certainly keeping busy.

Such a gorgeous day out! I hope you all got to spend a little bit of it outside!

I'm definitely up for Jose Tejas. I've been there before on or around Cinco de Mayo for my stepfather's birthday, which is ON May 5th...soooo, yes, it's always been busy there when I went. Food was good! Couldn't try too many drinks because I was driving, but it will certainly be a great place to meet up!

You ladies are the best!! Thank you for your help and thoughts!!!
I started my job 6 weeks before my wedding. When they called me about the job I told them "I'm getting married in 6 weeks and will be gone for 10 days". As long as he tells them in the interview process it shouldn't be a problem. He may not get paid time off but it's his wedding - they won't give him a hard time.

I also went to DB and really didnt care for anything there, have you looked into maggie sottero? I got my maggie for $630, she has a bunch of dresses in your range. If you find one you love, asty'la in woodbridge had the best prices, like $100-$150 off all other places.

I <3 mexican! I'm in for Saturday! Sunday might be a little tight for brides that have a bit of a travel since I'm sure most of us have work on Sunday. But I'm open to both. And I'm totally with Tracy, drinks, chips, and plenty of chit chat! :)

Eliana, I got my dress in West New York, NJ at Isabella Bridal...very cheap and very quick!!! I went to DB as the only other store and was NOT impressed (mostly with the service) as well as the originality of the dresses. They had to order my dress but had it withing the week instead of 6-12 weeks like every other store was saying.

Maybe we can do Jose Tejas on Saturday around 11:30AM that way Eliana can make it there, hang out and then be back in time for work...

Thank you Christine for suggesting 11:30AM! On that day, I have a wedding for 350 people, with a vip bride and groom! very detailed oriented and with a lottt of set up needed for their event! By the way, for those of you who don't know me, I work at the Newark Airport Marriott and I'm one of the event managers there. I work with corporate events, but my babies are my weddings! lol, I have 16 weddings from May to September so I'm always very busy on Saturdays starting May.

I will love to met everyone on Saturday (early)or Sunday at any time!!!!! I really look forward to a greattttt get together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
