ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

also, about the menu options, Im not sure what the luxury package has but I did the classical package and had red snapper and beef tournedo, both excellent!! I had so many good comments about the snapper I wish I would have only done that one!! As for "american" im not sure either but there isn't anything that is super weird on the menu. They have weird names but everything is very very good. I mean if us nebraska folk love it it must be good

For all brides doing cocktail hour. . . NOT WORTH IT. period. Actually most of my guests left to back to their rooms. None of the food was eaten and they only serve champagne. THis is actually my ONLY complaint of the whole wedding!!! It was so hot outside and they only provide one tiny umbrella.

Review to come. . . I am sooo depressed, I want to go back to mexicosad.gif
Really about the cocktail hourhuh.gif sad.gif I cannot believe it is not open bar that just seems so wrong.

Ok here's the funny fence incident. We climbed this fence on government land to get to the spot where we were photographed the sunrise coast shot. I climbed that fence in a skirt and my photog shot it! LOL smile117.gif

We left the Gran Porto at 4:30 am to get this shot on the coast! I love it. I'm going to print it HUGE on canvas for my living room wall. It was photographed about 1/2 mile south of the Tulum ruins. You have to drive a back road and climb through the jungle to get there. Totally worth it!

We got the shot on the swings right after we were married. The swings are located on the Gran property.

Good to know on the cocktail hour. I didn't want to do one bc I was thinking it would be that way so thank you for giving me peace of mind :)

Awww! I'm sorry you're back at home! I don't even want to think about how quickly its all going to go. Just closer your eyes and imagine you're back there lalala.gif

I brought a ton to the pool and had them help me. While they laid out they put the tags on and got a tan...worked out perfectly!

    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
    • So we are currently looking for an all inclusive resort for the wedding. We have 60 guests and found all the Dreams resorts as options and all of them gave us a quote and discounted price since it’s off season etc. Resorts in Punta Canta gave us a reasonable price, Dominicus gave us a really good deal then La Romana Resort and Spa gave us their regular price and so hard to negotiate. Will someone tell us how special is this resort that they won’t give us a good discount when all my guests are staying in their resort for 5-8 days. We are bringing $$$ in their resort and not give us a discount?  What is so special with this resort?  Can somebody recommend a beautiful resort?
