Site visit review and pics - Dreams Tulum

I ate at the buffet but just like Amy only in the mornings. The food was great! From smoothies to sweet bread we tried it all! For the sake of the wedding, of course!!! he! he!

I will probably be having my welcome dinner there. It's called the "World Cafe". They have several rooms to the side, Sandra will probably use for your event. And yes, I would certainly bring something to add to it as there is nothing. I was thinking of ordering several flower arrangements, bringing linens, candles and other centerpieces just to make it special.

And yes, plan on either purchasing extra flowers for the wedding arch or maybe bringing organza to drape. It is very, very plain.

Okay i just got my 'confirmation' email back from Sandra - i wrote her confirmign the details we discussed when we met. here's what she said:

Also- just to confirm you said that the ultimate package will include the beach reception as a private event. no further charges for this.

THE ULTIMATE COVER THE DINNER WITH NO EXTRA FEE , BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT OVER 20 PEOPLE THE FEE IS $55 USD PER PERSON , AND THE RIBBONS WITH SPECIAL COLOR ARE EXTRA $3.00 USD PER CHAIR

the ultimate package includes the set up we discussed - ribbons, tables, chairs, white linens/sheets to decorate the pergola (no seperate privat event fee)

YES CORRECT , WELL THE ONLY THING THAT IS NOT INCLUDED ARE THE RIBBONS THIS ARE $3.00 USD PER CHAIR AND YOU SHOULD TELL ME THE COLOR THAT YOU WOULD LIKE . THIS IS THE ONLY EXTRA FEE THE REST IS INCLUDED

He does have a microphone for speeches though or if you want someone else to jump in and announce the cake cutting, etc
I am glad to hear this and happy that we decided to just rent the speakers for an Ipod versus paying $150/hour for some to hit the play button!

I tried attaching a pic of a tiffany chair ( at least that's what another resort calls them ) but had no luck. Says the pic is too large.

And I am terrible at describing them but here I try... they are the golden colored chairs that have four posts (almost like fake bamboo sticks) as the back as opposed to the regular ones. And they are the chairs that typically don't need any covers or bows...they are beautiful as they come.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
