Hi, I'm Sarah and I'm the owner of Sproullie Designs. Prior to starting my business, I had a background in art, design, and entrepreneurship but was not actively using those skills- I was working as a registered nurse. While planning my destination wedding in 2007, I discovered a need for quality, custom stationery and wedding invitations and set out to create my own. From the save-the-dates to the invitations, the menus, favors, programs and welcome letters, I created a look that reflected my unique and elegant personal style with a nod toward our tropical Mexican destination. People were astounded to learn that I hadn't hired a personal designer or wedding planner - I'd designed and created my wedding paper accessories myself. Within just a few short months after my wedding, word travelled fast, and dozens of people literally from around the globe had heard about my work from family, friends and a wedding forum I belonged to, and had commissioned me to create a custom stationery suite that would set their wedding apart as anything but average. In less than a year, my "side job" had turned into a full-time business for my husband and I. Now, nearly three years out, Sproullie Designs is busier than ever! I'm so thankful every day to have a creative outlet where I get to interact with brides from all over the world, helping them bring their wedding dreams to reality. My business began with a focus on destination weddings, but I also create traditional wedding invitations, logos, shower and party invitations, corporate announcements and cards, baby announcements, christmas cards and personal stationery, as well as custom photobook design. My previous customers are my best advertisement and greatest asset. I appreciate all the referrals over the years and the success my tireless customer service has brought me. It is my greatest joy to be able to discover your personal wedding style and transfer that to a tangible product. With something for every budget, each invitation is lovingly handcrafted in my studio by myself and my talented assistants with the utmost of care and pride. Whether you've seen a design on my website that has inspired you or you'd like to work with me to begin an original concept, I look forward to creating something fresh, modern and exciting for the most important day of your life! All the best, Sarah

We were extremely happy with our boarding pass invitations. The communication was very prompts and we received our invitations much sooner than we originally expected.   Sarah was even nice enough to let me know where to buy the fonts that they used on our invitations, so that we could match the rest of the printed materials related to our wedding to them. Than was very nice.   Everyone that has received the invitations has taken time to comment on how beautiful they are.   We highly recommend using Sproullie Designs!

Pros: Super creative, unique invitations, good pricing, fast turnaround
Cons: NONE!
First of all, thanks to Sarah for introducing me to this forum! What a great resource! I found Sarah on Etsy and from our first communication, I knew she was the perfect match for my wedding invitations. I've worked in the wedding planning industry for 10 years and have dealt with many different vendors so I'd set the bar pretty high. Sarah and Christina were so helpful and professional. My invitations exceeded my wildest expectations and my guests are so impressed. My sister got married last year and wishes she'd found Sarah first :)   Thank you Sproullie Designs!
Pros: Everything! Beautiful quality, quick turnaround, professional communication and service.
Cons: She's really busy - but I don't think that's a really a con, it just means she's really good! But plan ahead!
Sarah and her Sproullie Designs team were so helpful during my ordering process. I'd had a bad experience with another Etsy vendor and everything they did completely set my mind at ease. Christina, the customer service rep was great at helping me choose a design and guided me through the process. Once we started into the design, Sarah was wonderful at communicating all changes needed and helped me stay within my budget. My guests RAVED about my saved the dates and I will be back for invitations soon! Go with Sproullie Designs, you won't be disappointed!
AI just want to the time out to say how I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my postcard Save the dates from Sproullie Designs. Sarah's work is remarkable and her team is awesome. There was a high level of professionalism while working with Sarah and she was understanding and very helpful in the designing process. She returned emails promptly and was very patient in the process. When she noticed a slight issue in timing of submitting the first draft she acted quickly and responded in the appropriate manner. I highly recommend her services and I'm thankful that I decided to go with Sproullie's designs after all. I plan to to use her services for all my wedding stationary and any other future events. I was a little skeptical in going with online invitations but it was the best decision I made. Go with her she's the BEST and you won't be disappointed !!! Thanks Sarah !

Pros: Quality product, beautiful designs
Cons: horrible communication, does not respond to emails, does not give contact phone number, does not stick to start dates, very stressful to deal with
We initially began working with them to make our save the dates, ceremony invitations, receptions invitation, and place cards. We later added program fans and bridal shower invitations. Everything was to be custom designed except for the bridal shower invitations. Our save the dates and ceremony invitations turned out beautiful. Sarah and her team responded promptly to my emails and stuck to their start dates. We also had a great experience with our bridal shower invitations. However, after that the problems started. Our next big project was the reception invitations. Our start date came and went without any emails from Sarah or her team. I emailed them several times asking the status of our order since I had not even received a first draft and our final deadline was fast approaching. Finally, almost 3 weeks after the start date, we received a draft. Ultimately, our reception invites turned out great regardless of the added stress.   Because of that, we decided to continue to work with sproullie designs for our program fans and place cards (even though I was nervous at this point, but I wanted all of my paper items to match). Our wedding was on August 5th, 2012. Once again, our start date for our last paper items came and went with no emails from Sarah. Once again I emailed Sproullie Designs every couple of days asking what the status of our order was since we had not even received a first draft. Cut to three weeks before the wedding and still not even a response to any of my emails or a draft. I began looking into other vendors when Sarah finally sent me an email back on July 12th (the last email I had received from anyone at Sproullie Designs was June 6th) saying, "didn't you get the email about me being on vacation all summer? You must not have - because I see about 20 emails from you in the last week. I'm checking emails remotely from my camper while on vacation right now. I'm planning to finish up your order next week. I am taking very limited orders this summer and doing everyone's projects in order of wedding date"   I found her email very rude. Obviously I had not received any message saying she'd be out of town ALL summer, and 20 emails was definitely an exaggeration. Of course, it being that close to the wedding with no response from them was making me very nervous. Also, why would you take any projects if you were going to be out of town all summer? And what is the point of a start date if you are all of a sudden doing projects in order of wedding date? Needless to say, I was not happy at that point. Soon after, I read a review from another customer of their etsy page that gave them negative feedback and complained of several of the same things (lack of communication, no response to emails, not sticking to start dates) so I decided to go with some of the other vendors that I had been speaking to (who actually wanted our business at that point). I emailed Sarah to tell her and she was more than happy to watch us go. After already spending 1000+ dollars with Sproullie Designs, they let us go without even blinking an eye (how nice?).   Overall, when you actually do receive their product, it is fantastic. But the added stress (especially right before the wedding) was definitely not worth it

AWe found Sarah on Etsy and it was truly a godsend as we were slightly behind schedule with getting our Save the Dates out for our wedding in Playa Del Carmen. Although she does custom designs we were able to find what we needed from her gallery of work. Now that we are back on schedule we are looking forward to creating our invitations with her.

My passport invitations are so perfect for my destination wedding. I love the invitations and so does everyone else who's seen them so far. Everyone was very impressed with the quality and design and the colors match perfectly. Sarah was very quick to respond to my questions and knew exactly what I wanted! I definitely recommend Sproullie designs!

Pros: Sarah, quality, color, professionalism, unique
Cons: Not a single thing.
I found Sproullie on ETSY, and it was the best discovery of my entire wedding planning thus far!!!! I had the passport invitations made for my destination wedding in May to the Bahamas. Sproullie were VERY thorough about what I was looking for, wanted, and imagined my invitations to be. Once I began working with Sarah, the process was seamless. Sarah worked with me through my indecisiveness, pickiness, grammar checks - and rechecks. Sarah was more than accommodating of any and all changes that I wanted to make, and helped me out with wording that I was stuck on. She even did an amazing job photo shopping the picture that I wanted to use (my fiance had a big 'ol thumbs up in the picture - she was able to take it out, cant even tell!!!!!). As the RSVP's have been trickling in we have received many, many, compliments on the invitations, and their uniqueness. We are beyond happy - it set the tone that we wanted for the wedding : unique, fun, elegant, yet not overly so. Perfect for any destination wedding. The delivery was quick. The whole process was quite painless. I cant say it in any other way - I'M IN LOVE WITH MY INVITATIONS!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Sarah, and Sproullie, to anybody, everybody, and all. Worth the money.  - - Liz

Pros: Creative, Friendly, Lots of Communication, Exactly what I wanted!!
Cons: None
I cannot say enough good things about Sproullie Designs. I found Sarah on Etsy and Sarah along with her team created my Save the Date postcards that were exactly what I wanted for my destination wedding. They turned out amazing and I've received so many compliments on them.

So, I turned to Sproullie Designs again when it came time to design our wedding invitations. They got exactly what I was looking for and created the perfect design. I fell in love with them instantly. Sproullie Designs is incredibly easy to work with, responds quickly, and will work with you to create exactly what you are looking for. I'm extremely pleased and I would highly recommend Sproullie Designs. Sarah and her team are AMAZING!!!

Pros: Creative, Excellent Craftsmanship
We did our Save the Dates (postcards) and wedding invitations (Passports) with Sproullie Designs and both turned out better than we ever could have expected. The response from friends and family has just been overwhelmingly positive, with messages like "CUTEST invitations ever!" and "The most creative and unique invitations I have ever seen!" Sarah, the owner was a joy to work with and was the perfect blend of patience (had numerous updates throughout the project) and creativity. I highly highly recommend Sproullie Designs for any special events, but especially for the perfect invitation to get your guests excited for a destination wedding.

Pros: Responsiveness
My fiance and I were torn on what to do for the "perfect" wedding invites for our destination wedding in Saint Lucia.  We thought we wanted gorgeous letterpressing but we also wanted something that was specfic to a happy, lively, beachy destination and not as formal as letterpressed invites can be.  Most of all, we wanted something that our guests would really love and possibly hold onto as a keepsake.   We discovered Sproullie on etsy.com and never looked back.   Sarah & her team were not only extremely responsive, as we were on a very tight timeline, but had a cheery personality throughout the whole design process (which lasted only about 3 days!), and made us feel like their number one customer.  To check all of these boxes for any busines is an accomplishment.  We hope to work with Sproullie again well into the future for our event needs.    Bravo to Sproullie for being such a good example of how to run a customer-centric business with a high level of personal touch.

Sarah was a pleasure to work with. I am so happy that I chose her to make my STD postcards. I contacted Sarah because I could not find the listing for the postcards I wanted when I was finally ready to purchase. She got back to my so quickly by e-mail within I believe twenty minutes. Once I purchased the actually $20.00 design fee she was great about getting me a rough draft. The first draft was perfect, everything I could of ever imagined for my STD's for our wedding. Once I made my purchase for 100 postcards I received them within 4 days!!! The colors of my save the dates are so beautiful I can not even put it into words. The shimmer of the paper is gorgeous. If you are looking for somebody to do your stationary suite for your wedding Sarah is a GREAT choice!!

Pros: creative, unique, prefessional, prompt, understanding
Cons: NONE
Pure perfection!!!! The invitations Sarah created for my upcoming June wedding are absolutely amazing! She was able to design a look that complimented our wedding ideas in every way! I was searching for about 8 months to find someone that would be able to capture the vision in my head and put it on paper with no luck...that was until I stumbled on Sarah's etsy web page! Sarah is very professional, understanding, prompt, and creative. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for unique invitations with a personal touch!!! Words can really not express how happy I am with the work Sarah has done on our boarding pass wedding weekend invitations; they really are perfect!!! Thank you so much Sarah for everything!!!

Pros: dynamic, patient, artistic, reasonable
Cons: none
Let me start off by saying that prior to contacting anyone for prices etc. I did as much research as I could and read any reviews that I could find.  I find that this helps me to know what to expect albeit it good or bad.  So I already knew that response wasn't going to be super speed, however; it wasn't slow either.  Sarah had at least a 3-5 day turnaround time.  And for me this was fine as I plan ahead.   So after reading, viewing and contacting Sarah from Sproullie Designs, my heart was settled.  FI trust me as he know I research until I can't find anything else ;-)  With that said, I contacted Sarah back in Sept or Oct 10' to begin our project in Jan.  Sarah sent 3 different designs and of the 3 we liked 2 and choose from there. I couldn't believe that she nailed our vision off of filling out a form but she is AMAZING to say the least.  FI rarely gets excited about much but these brought a tear to his eyes.  Let's say this is so surreal for the both of us.    Today we received 150 Boarding Pass STDs with addressed envelopes and our return address on them.  Receiving this well packaged item today was the best thing that will take place this weekend.  Sarah will also do our Passport invites.   You will not be disappointed if you choose Sarah!

Pros: Amazing craftsmanship, very unique
Cons: none
I love my boarding pass save the dates! They look amazing! I got so many compliments on them. No one had ever seen anything like them. It took a while to get them right after putting in my order, but Sarah was great about making changes I asked for and getting back to me as soon as possible. I am planning on using Sproullie Designs for my invitations in a few months. I highly recommend Sproullie Designs!

Pros: Beautiful, unique invites
Cons: Communication
I absolutely love my boarding pass invites.  I just sent them out & have already received a lot of compliments on them.  The whole process took a little longer than I expected though.  I know the holidays are a busy time of year, but it would take on average 5 days to get a reply email.  I would definitely use Sproullie Designs again but next time I would start the process sooner.

Pros: Spectacular product, super easy to work with
Cons: Communication
Sarah is one of the best invitation & design vendors out there. Period. She created our dream passport invitations and they’re absolutely amazing! As one would imagine, she gets quite busy. We waited a bit longer than expected to receive the finished product but the wait was worth it because we were beyond pleased. So grateful to have worked with her and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Pros: customer service, individuality, attention to detail
I fell in love with Sarah's work instantly when I saw it on Etsy.  Her aesthetic matched my visions for stationary perfectly!  I ordered Save the Date postcards from Sarah and they turned out not only beautifully, but were reasonably priced as well!  I also ordered boarding pass invites from Sarah.  She was very attentive to all of my requests and was SO easy to work with.  My invites just arrived and are even more beautiful than they were on the computer screen.  I would recommend Sarah to any bride! :)
Pros: Beautiful images, great reviews
Cons: Poor communication, lack of timely responses, lack of accountability
Well, I hate to be the Debbie Downer of the crowd but I’d rather that than to have another B2B encounter an experience similar to ours with Sarah of Sproullie Designs….   I contacted Sarah via Etsy after checking out her beautiful invitations and positive reviews and was immediately sold that she was “the one” to handle our boarding pass invitation order.  After reading all of the glowing reviews on this site, there was no hesitation whatsoever to place our invitation package orders with her.  I sent her an email requesting her services and to begin the order process.  Within the email, I provided our details, colors, and anticipated timeline and requested information for an invitation package to include matching seating cards, OOT tags, stickers, table numbers/names, monogram(s), thank you cards, etc.  Three weeks later, I still had not heard from her.  I figured she was probably extremely busy with current orders and accounted for the possibility of a vacation or family emergency.     Two days ago, I sent Sproullie Designs two emails via Etsy and her official website to follow-up on the initial email I sent her.  Sarah responded a few hours later and stated that she overlooked my email and was now no longer taking orders until January 10, 2011; however due to another B2B changing her date, she presently had one date available on her design calendar and if we secured that date, our order would be ready near the last week of January 2011. She also provided a link to purchase a custom made order for 75 invitations.  I responded and told her that we were having a small DW wedding and would only need to purchase 40 invitations, however as I stated in my initial email, we would be purchasing an invitation suite to include matching seating cards, OOT tags, stickers, table numbers/names, monogram(s), thank you cards, etc.; which would surely financially compensate her for the difference of 35 invitations.   I also expressed my concern regarding being penalized by having our deadline delayed due to her initial lack of communication.  Her response was essentially, “….I’m only taking orders of that amount and I’m sure you’ll find another great vendor on Etsy.”   Needless to say, we are disappointed and frustrated…… We wasted three weeks waiting to hear back from her and in that time frame, had we known she was not going to take our order; we could have researched another vendor and been well on our way with the invitation process.  Because we believed everything about her company that we read in the reviews, we did not have a backup plan.  Not one line in her policy states that custom boarding pass invitation orders must be a minimum of 75.   I’m not writing this review to discredit or discount her product, because I’m sure it is all as pictured and probably better.  The issue lies with her lack of customer service and timely communication.  Sarah disregarded her lack of acknowledgement to our initial communication and because of that; we are now back at square one and a month behind our deadline.  Being a DW Bride herself, one would think she would possess the humility to accept accountability for her role in a botched business transaction.  A DW is stressful enough without these types of snafus stateside.  She offered no resolution or attempt at remedying the situation which I found to be poor business acumen.  While mistakes and oversights occur, because we are all human, at that point one would think a business, or in this case Sarah, would in good faith make an effort to resolve the error.  It is my hope that this review spares a B2B from a similar occurrence and at the least, Sarah herself realizes how her business oversights affect others.  Beware that she does not value her initial communications with B2B’s, which doesn’t separate her from most corporations who are also all about the bottom line rather than servicing the customer.   Best of luck to you all in your invitation and stationary purchases!

When I first saw this site I couldn't believe the work Sarah has done for other brides. I definitely didn't think I could afford to get passports for my save the dates but I was shocked when I saw the prices. I did pay extra to get them done quicker and it was worth the extra couple bucks. I got my passports so quickly and they were more beautiful than I could have imagined. I originally wanted a design I saw on her site but she made up something different for me and I ended up falling in love with it. My guests all called me to tell me how amazing they were and it felt so nice! Thank you Sarah. I recommend her to anyone and will definitely be in business with her again if need be.

Pros: Great designs, Great work, great to work with
Cons: beginning communication
When I first joined the site I seen passport invitations and seen Sarah's site and knew that I HAD to order them from her! Her work is exceptional!!!! I barely needed any major changes. My fiance was very impressed when he seen the first draft. I took them to show my co-workers and everyone LOVED them!! I just can't wait until my guess sees them! I just wish the communication in the beginning wasn't so bad. I'm not sure what was happening but he wasn't receiving my emails. Once I sent the pm and made the thread all issues were resolved and because I needed the invites yesterday (lol) she was able to do a rush for no extra charge. I really appreciate all her work!!!!

Pros: Beatiful designs, easy to work with, flexible & accomodating
Cons: Sometimes return emails can take a while
We love our passport invites that Sarah designed! When we received the first set of proofs we were thrilled, but we wanted a few minor changes. Sarah was totally willing to change things around and work with us to make them perfect. When we received them in the mail we couldn't believe it - they are gorgeous!! We're sending them out today and I can't wait to see what our guests think!   We got the passport invites, RSVP boarding passes, and envelopes with guest and return addresses (I will be posting some pics in a separate thread)   We did have a minor glitch with our return address on the envelopes, due to a misunderstanding. But Sarah quickly made the fix for us and even ate the cost. Great service! We couldn't be happier :)   Thanks Sarah!!

I had Sarah do my passport invitations after reading about & seeing her work on this forum!   My invites turned out amazing and everyone loved them!
