  1. @@Johanne514 I can email the list if you don't have it yet. I just got mine last month.
  2. @@Ursula18 I just sent them off to your email. We're getting married March 31st, 2016 I can't wait !
  3. @@Ursula18 I can email you the info. I just got my pricing lists a couple of weeks ago.
  4. Does anyone know if you're required to show your marriage certificate for a symbolic ceremony or a renewal of vows? We are doing a "vow renewal" at the Grand Riviera Princess but circumstances may end up being that we can't do our legal ceremony until we come back. Has anyone else done this?
  5. Thanks ladies They shipped really fast too. I was surprised. About a week between order and delivery.
  6. Love my engagement ring sooo much. Getting a very thin diamond band for my wedding ring.
  7. I just got mine in the mail today. Ordered them from Vistaprint when they had a sale I love them!
  8. @@Pottswedding2015 That's a good rate for platinum. The basic junior suite rate is 1750$pp with west jet. I'm going to have to get another quote next month though since we can't make the deadline for the deposits for this one Sunwing rates were way higher, 2010$pp for the basic suite again. Air Canada was crazy 2500$pp. Hopefully the rate won't go up drastically in a month lol. I have my fingers crossed anyway !
  9. @@calgarybride2015 Yes for sure, I'd pack my bags tomorrow if I could lol. Fiance is living an hour and a half away but I'm moving up with him in November Can't wait! Yes the price is great from westjet but the booking date is a bit soon for us since we aren't announcing anything until September and they want deposits by the 22nd of August. We'll have to get another quote in September and hope it doesn't go up too much The other option is for us to pay $5000 in deposits for 10 rooms and then hope they all book. Which I think they will but I hate to commit our $ with no guarantee of it. @veryvalentine Yeah it's been a pretty miserable summer here I wish we could go during an off time but my fiance is a teacher and he's limited with his time off. Spring break kind of works best for all of our crowd since my fiance and dad are not a fan of too much heat (good thing with the weather here!) My aunt lives in the states, I wonder can she open an account and do it for me, she does a lot of cross border banking. Hmm I'll have to check into it Thanks for the tip.
  10. @@veryvalentine I'll have to mention about other carpet options when I finally get chatting with a WC . I'm ok with just the boards though, I will warn the BMs to wear flats or wedges lol. A little R&R sounds nice about now and some hot weather !! I'm in NL and last Friday it was -1 here with the windchill Grossest July ever! How are you finding the rates for the Grand Sunset/Riviera? The cheapest quote I've gotten back from my TA has been 1750pp from West Jet The prices seem a lot more this year :s
  11. @@calgarybride2015 Beautiful pics I see what you mean about it being more of a fuchsia than magenta. Looked great though!
  12. Thanks @@calgarybride2015 Did the colour photograph ok? I know sometimes Magenta type colours don't look that great in photos for some reason. I'm going to order some papel picado banners and my sister in law is knitting me some fiesta coloured flag garlands so that'll be most of my decor lol. I'm not going with much for flowers just my bouquet and the boutonnieres. Bridesmaids are going to carry fans, easier on the budget and practical lol.
  13. @@Pottswedding2015 Thanks I love it so much, it's super fluffy on the bottom and the basketweave on the top looks beautiful and I never in a million years would have picked it off the rack lol. The store manager brought it over to me.
  14. Yes I'm not using those red carpets either @@Pottswedding2015, they're pretty ugly actually. I may be able to find a small wedge sandal, I'll have to look some more My colours are Fiesta themed It's a lot of colour for me lol but I figured it fit with the destination
  15. @@Pottswedding2015 Your dress is so pretty!! I bet it'll be really cool on the day. Mine is heavier but I'm just going to suffer it out lol. The blush will look nice for sure, a gold would probably work as well. I'm not sure what to do for shoes, I'm torn between sandals and heels. The dress is actually the perfect length with a 1-2" heel, so I may just go for a small heeled sandal you won't be able to see much of them under my dress anyway.
  16. @@Pottswedding2015 Lol it's terrible. I was all by myself. My sister in law and I are planning a mock dress shopping trip for my mom lol, we are taking the dress over to the shop early and then coming back with my mother and trying on ugly dresses and then My dress . She will kill me if she finds out I already bought it! Yes my travel agent has sent mulitple emails and we can't book anything until we have the ceremony booked at the resort I'm hoping I can still get the 4 pm time booked! Maybe I will enquire with Dean if he can speed the process along. Thanks Do you have a pic of your dress? What are you doing for shoes?
  17. @@Pottswedding2015 That's awesome. If we end up with numbers over 40 we may just book it since we'll be paying out for a separate dinner anyways. I bought my dress two weeks ago, it's not particularly beachy lol but I wanted something that looked great and I think I found it for sure. I love it and it was half price! So had to buy it even though I had intentions of waiting. I just emailed Dean with an update today on my booking progress Were you waiting a long time for the resort to get back to you about confirming a wedding date? @@veryvalentine Thanks for the tip about the spa ! I'm hoping a friend who is a hair stylist is going to come so I can get her to do my hair but if not then I may go the resort salon route. I'm worried about all my makeup melting off in the heat :s which is why I was wondering about make up artist vendor fees .
  18. @@Pottswedding2015 That's so exciting I am just in the process of booking my date in March so I'm in contact with Dean but mostly just generalities. We are having the two photographers but I'm not sure if we are doing 4 or 6 hours. He suggested getting married at 4ish or as close to as possible since that time of day isn't too hot for everyone. What are you doing for your reception? We are hoping that our numbers (hoping 30-35) let us do the restaurant dinner and then a beach cocktail reception with DJ from 8-11pm. I'd love to do the Chill out but I think it's just too pricey at $100 pp. Do you have your dress yet? I bought mine two weeks ago and I'm sooooo excited , I can't wait to wear it lol. Are you in Canada as well?
  19. @@veryvalentine Thanks You're wedding looks like it was beautiful ! I'll have to let my fiance see the photos of the gazebo and let him choose haha, I can't decide. Do you know if there are any other vendor fees besides the $400pp for photography? We already know about that one and are booking Dean Sanderson. I was looking at maybe getting a makeup artist but not if the vendor fee is too high Trying to stay on budget lol. Thanks again, your posts have been really helpful
  20. Hello We're planning to get married at the Grand Riviera Princess on March 30, 2016. I'm trying to decide between the Riviera Gazebo and the Sunset. Are there usually a lot of people around the Riviera one? And does anyone know if the Sunset Gazebo is far from the Italian or steakhouse restaurants?
  21. @@calgarybride2015 Thanks! I love the basketweave and the fluffy bottom on the dress and it's way lighter than it looks lol. The manager at the David's Bridal said we could bring the dress over before we come back shopping with my mom. We'll try on really unflattering dresses and then my dress haha. She'll have to love it hopefully lol since it's a done deal. I can't deprive her of the experience though since I know she will be very disappointed if she isn't there.
