  2. I got married there August 15th. There were some perks through destination weddings.com like we got a room credit and some upgrades but it all depends on what kind of specials they are running . There weren't any at the time we went. But I know some hotels have more perks than others
  3. I got married last month at NOW sapphire. It was amazing!!
  4. I just got back from now sapphire . Truly a beautiful resort !! The staff/ food everything was perfect. I still have to do my review but I have no complaints ! Other than the ocean... But that's not the resorts fault.. Most of riviera Maya was having a seaweed problem ... But who know so far away from now what will be the case . They did a beautiful wedding! My guests ( from Long Island which is know to have the craziest of weddings ) said it was the best wedding ever and not just because of the DW . Any questions feel free.
  5. Hello! I am getting married August 15th! Does anyone know or have any expereince in bringing sky lanterns or sparklers on the plane with them or if they did it at the resort? I want to buy these and bring them with me I am just nervous about traveling with them. Please let me know! Thanks!
  6. also, does anyone know anything about bringing food for the guest bags (eg. granola bars, trail mix? ) I wanted to put these in but dont want to worry about bringing them there. Someone has mentioned stopping at coscto but I don't know if I want to worry about going there.
  7. Hi everyone!! Can anyone tell me what they are putting in their oot bags and or what're they used in their "hangover kits"? I want to start ordering stuff and I am wondering where you got all the travel essentials for your oot bags like the little Advil and medicines?? Is there a good website?? Thanks!!
  8. Hello! Where did you find these? Love them so cute! Also, can anyone tell me where you got all the travel essentials for your oot bags like the little Advil and medicines?? Is there a good website?? Thanks!!
  9. Hi everyone!! Need some help. Ordered chair sashes thinking they were the right color but they were not!! So now I need help finding the right color. The color of my bridesmaids / wedding color is a little different and hard to find matching colors for. It's called sea glass.. And it's not turquoise, not Aqua, not mint green... It's in between a bluish green color but I think it's more blue... I will attach the color what it's like. If anyone has any suggestions of where to find chair sashes that might be a close match I would appreciate it!!! All the colors I see are pretty much those turquoise, aqua colors which are too bright. I really would like to find a close match but it doesn't have to be exact!the candle/ swatch is the color of the BM dress and the 2nd picture is a color I like but can't find!! Thanks!!!
  10. @@erobin223 Well I'm really sorry all that happened but I hope you can look back and still have enjoyable memories of your wedding!! Sorry it didn't work out as everything u had planned but I think there will always be things that go wrong!
  11. @@erobin223 Wow, so it seems like you have very little positives about your wedding... Except for the food. You make it out like it was horrible actually from your review! This definitely doesn't go along with all the positive reviews we have been seeing.
  12. Ok girls.. So what did you do?? I always thought we would have to get married here before and then have symbolic ceremony! So when did you all legally get married in U.S.??
  13. What do you guys think of this as my rsvp? I think we are going to go with the surf and turf and the chicken from divine menu( whatever the more expensive one is). I didn't want to put the entire description of the meal so I just put steak or chicken. The only thing is, if ppl are allergic or don't eat seafood I put a line for them to let me know. I was going to put another option that says vegetarian. Does anyone know what the alternative would be for a guest ? Or let's say they ate chicken or steak but not seafood .. Would they sub the seafood for something else? Any suggestions or what did you do?? Thanks!!
  14. @@pddcmc thanks so much! I don't see it on page 16, but i do love your water bottles! what did you put inside and do you have a list of what your bringing for welcome bags and your favors? You seem so organized. Congratulations! I am getting married in August and I feel so behind!!
  15. Hi Everyone, just wondering if anyone can share with me information they are either putting on their invitations for guests or their welcome letter if you are getting married in Mexico. I am making a little luggage tag insert in with my invites and I wanted to put some information on there like what to bring, money tips etc. Any suggestions. Also, I am going to start typing my welcome letter and any information on there I should put? I am getting Married at Now Sapphire in Mexico. Also, any suggestions for Welcome bags?? I know I am putting a customized drink holder, hangover kit/first aid kit, maybe a cell phone waterproof case? Thanks!! I attached my tags what I've started already..not much...
  16. @@kellymenning OMG i saw those hanging bottles somewhere and love them! So did you rent those and the mason jars for the aisles from her too? I love that. I was wondering about the lights too. What resort did you get married at, because I think that my resort will charge to hang up the lights (like 500$) even if I get them cheaper. So you said you renting like pretty much everything from Katy? It sounds great. Do you mind me asking about how much everything cost to rent from her? I am totally stressing about everything I will have to bring down, it would be so nice to not have to worry about it probably. How much were the chair bows and did she just happen to have the color you wanted? I have emailed her and she sent me her drop box, but I am not sure how to go about deciding what to rent etc. There are so many, too many good ideas!! Thanks so much for your help.
  17. Hi everyone. I haven't really looked too much throughout this thread but I have a question about this resort. I am getting married here August 15th. Is everyone getting 1-2 options for their entrees for the reception. We were told we can have one, but if we want two choices, we have to get everyones choice prior to the wedding. I am trying to figure out how to put this into my RSVPs and get peoples responses without being tacky. Also, lets say we choice beef and chicken, what if people have an allergy or do not eat seafood, I will need to have an option for them to write it somewhere and I just feel like it will look wierd. Will the resort prepare something for those people that cannot eat either of the choices I have? I Am stressing majorly about it but I don't want to anymore. I want to order my invites and either make and RSVP card that suits this purpose, or make a website where they can select from some sort of drop down menu. I don't know! Please give suggestions!
  18. Yes I did email her! She didn't have all those vases but she had one size. Are you renting from her? What are you renting? I wish u could just get from her then I wouldn't have to worry about it!I kind of like this too.. Very simple. Does anyone know where I could find a white tray like this??
  19. Wow so what are you bringing down?? Do you have a picture of the centerpiece you are doing? I don't know weather to do the flowers in water or just bring down the candles in the cylinder vases. Which florist are you using in riviera maya? I made this just to see what it would look like what do ya think?
  20. Also, just noticed you said carry on suitcase. So you would bring all that stuff in carry on suitcase. you cant check that stuff wow really?? has anyone had any experience with this?
  21. Thanks so much! I like the idea of putting flowers from the wedding at the reception. If you have a picture of your LED candles that would be great! Thanks so much! Yes, I did think about fake flowers! Wasnt sure how they would look but its def something to consider! I still just need to figure out the vases! I am traveling jet blue, I should figure out their baggage policy because I will probably have to dedicate one big suitcase just to decor and OOT bag stuff. Can you check a box? I am nervous about bringing a ton of stuff in one suit case because I have heard that you could get taxed if you have a lot of the same stuff (ex. stuff for OOT bags) beccuase they consider it to be a good you could sell. Someone said to spread the things out amongst bags of people in your family maybe. Anyone know about this??
  22. Really?? You think?? With that many?? Hmm something to consider I'll consider that! I thought it might look tacky but I guess it really doesn't matter! I'm not sure! I think it's really expensive to ship to Mexico! Also, have you ordered yours? You got all different sizes? Do you have a picture?? So then your not using flowers at all for the centerpiece right? That would save a ton. I was thinking of using maybe the flowers from the bridesmaids bouquet of I was going to use the water with flowers . Idk
  23. So I am getting married August 15 at now sapphire in riviera maya and I still have not picked my centerpieces/ flowers! Everything seems so expensive and I am very simple, but I still want it to look nice. I have an idea of what I want but I don't think I can travel with what I want. The resort wants to charge about 85 plus tax for a centerpiece. I've seen some people on this site post about using outside vendors but I know I'll have to pay an outside vendor fee (300) so I feel like it will add up quickly. I would be happy with any of the below centerpieces, which one would require minimal flowers, which I could get from resort, but the biggest problem is the glass vases. I feel like I can't just use one, so with 3 per table I would need about 21 with 7 tables. Definitely can't travel with those!! Has anyone experienced traveling with all that stuff or have any other suggestions? I really like just the candles but since reception is outside, I'm afraid they will blow out if not in glass. What do you think?? My favorite really is with the flowers in the water, I don't know what to do!
  24. Hello! Does anyone know any live wedding bands in Riviera Maya area? We've always wanted a live band at our wedding but are not sure how to find a band that would be as good as one in the states. DOes anyone have any experience with this or know on average how much more it would be than getting a DJ? Any suggestions will help! Thanks
