Has anyone noticed if there are sand fleas at any of the Karisma resorts?

@@angelajackson I agree. The beaches are not that nice and that is the one thing I really want considering I will be getting married on the beach. The beaches at the majority of the Karisma resorts aren't as nice as some of the ones we have in the United States in Florida. This is truly what I am having the hardest time with. The Dreams Riviera Cancun looked like it had a little nicer of a beach but I won't truly know until I go visit in July.

@@nattiegams325 My travel agent didn't offer me that deal and I just happened to e-mail Dreams to ask about it and that is what they told me. I asked my travel agent about it and she said that she could not offer that because it was a special only the resort could offer because the resort would be reimbursing us. I would definitely check with the resort if you booked your trip with them.

Just in case anyone else wanted to visit before making a decision on the resort…..I recently contacted Dreams Riviera Cancun to find out if they do anything special for a visit to see the resort for wedding purposes. Karisma resorts (Azul's, Generations, El Dorado) do this and they call it a Brides Dress Rehearsal. Dreams told me they do a $110 per person per night reduced rate for a maximum of 3 nights and if you decide to book your wedding with them then they will refund the full amount they charged you to stay there during that initial trip.

I am torn between Dreams Riviera Cancun & going with one of the Karisma resorts (Azul Sensatori or Generations Riviera Maya). I have found they both have their positives and negatives. So far I have seen Karisma charges an $800 outside vendor fee (which is outrageous) and Dreams charges a $300 outside vendor fee. They both have free wedding packages with different things included. I will be going to visit in July and I am hoping this will help. I was just curious if there was anyone else who was torn between Dreams vs Karisma and how you decided? Thanks!

@@girlinthecity97 I saw in one of your other posts that you met with outside photographers….did you meet with any that were "Lomas Approved"? Which outside photographers did you meet with? I saw Sarani was approved but only for El Dorado and Generations (which is odd). Did you happen to meet with her or know if she was at the BDR?

@@girlinthecity97 Thanks so much! I just want to make sure i'm as prepared as I can be. I didn't even think about writing down tips for my guests! Great idea! Did you measure anything while you were down there?

Does anyone who has been to a BDR have any input on what all I should look at while there? Or anything you wish you would have looked at but didn't? I feel like I'm going to forget to look at something and then wish I would have thought about it when I get home! @@girlinthecity97 Thanks so much! I'm so glad we are getting to do this. Any advice?!

Is there anyone who got married or is getting married in Hilton Head, SC? I was planning a destination wedding in Mexico but am thinking twice now. I am looking into Destin, Fl & Hilton Head, SC to see if these might be better options for us. I was just wondering if anyone had an input on wedding venues? Looking online they majority of the weddings I found were done at resorts and beach clubs. I couldn't find too many larger private vacation home rentals that allowed weddings. I'm open to both options I just would like a cost effective and a least stressful option but not sure if that is going to happen. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Looking online they majority of the weddings I found were done at a vacation home rental and then paid for a wedding company to do the ceremony on the beach in front of the house or at a public entrance. I know in Hilton Head they have more resorts and beach clubs that do weddings than private houses. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
