Hello Ladies, I wanted to share this gem of a photographer, Octavio Montes. I needed a photographer who already has a decent portfolio, good reviews, but does not ask for an arm and a leg in payment. Another bride had told me about him, and I have found him an excellent person to communicate with! His has a great gallery on his website featuring his works in different weddings, which makes it easy to see what you're buying into. He has hourly packages you can pick from, choose whether or not you want prints, and he gives you a DVD with ALL the pictures taken during the event. His packages are very flexible. He also offers video services for a reasonable price! I emailed him the first time and asked for prices. He straight up just gave them to me on the same day. The iPod is a good plan if you're not intent on getting a DJ. If it's announcements you're worried about, you could get someone in your bridal party to do it. My MOH and one of my bridesmaids were ecstatic about doing the whole announcement thing, they volunteered to do it when I was bouncing the idea around.

@jdub Congratulations! Where are you having your reception and ceremony? Did you get the list of add ons/extras. The resort offers services of Dj Doremixx and Dj Mannia. Both of them highly recommended

@Kelly718 I'm in the same boat.. I would have loved little patron bottles but it's seems a bit redundant.. with an open bar, who needs mini patron bottles?? So now I'm looking into beach themed wine stoppers, bottle openers and bubbles at Myweddingfavors.com Still.. Those patron bottles are really cute.

Hello Ladies, I just recently got engaged, but I've been stalking this thread for awhile now Everyone's comments have been very helpful. Planning my hotel stay seems to be more complicated than I thought. Did all of you HAVE to be there 3 full business days (not counting arrival day) before the wedding? Thanks!

O Thanks so much for the tips! I have been debating whether or not to get GCR flowers and centrepieces. By arranging the flower centrepieces do you mean putting them on the tables? I can't imagine how much more arranging you'd need to do if they came in a vase already.. Unless you had extremely elaborate ones. I hope your guests were moved to better suites after that mishap. That's terrible!

Hey monicamb, Congratulations on your marriage! I hope you're in the mood to impart some wisdom to the lost as I have a lot of questions about flowers.. Did you get your flowers delivered to GCR? Did you have to pay the vendor fee of $350? Did you get floral centrepieces from Maya Floral as well? Did you have them come in to arrange the flowers or did you do it yourselves? What else did you need flowers for? and did you get absolutely everything from Maya floral? ie bouquet, loose petals for the ceremony.. Thanks!
