Katia's supervisor keeps sending these ridiculously big and expensive arrangements when I've already shown her pictures of my centerpieces which are small and could not hold an arrangement that big. I had initially considered using Maya Floral, but after one exchange from Marvin, he never wrote back to me and that was months ago even after I sent follow up emails--it was super unprofessional so I will not be giving him my business. I'm still considering just finding a different local florist and getting the flowers dropped off outside to avoid the fee and the all around expensiveness/unresponsiveness of the resort florist. Hey! I contacted another florist and they're better with communication than Maya Floral. Slightly better prices too! They are called Floreira Riviera Maya. email: [email protected] I am currently in contact with Alina. Mind you, it took awhile for them to get back to me as well. But when they emailed me back, they just kept answering my questions. It feels good to get the ball rolling instead of waiting months in between emails Hope they're a good match for you too!

I've booked Octavio Montes. @mariposa6102 helped out a lot in helping me find a photographer by making this wonderful comparison spreadsheet with different photographers and price ranges. She's probably still enjoying Cancun right now, but I think she would be willing to share this info. PM me your email and I will send it your way.

If you are asking whether the photo packages include the photographer fee, then yes, they do. Keep in mind that these photo packages include only a limited number of printed photos. You might also want to ask them if they provide a digital copy of all photos. So far I haven't seen any great reviews on them. One of the GCR 2013 brides shared a link with photos from the resort photographer.. If you scour the GCR 2013 thread it might still be there.

Please let me know if you find any other florists in Cancun. I'm having the same problem with Maya Floral and other florists in the area. It just takes them a long time to reply. Maybe there's a timeline they work with? Like if your wedding day is 1 month away, then you're a priority. Otherwise they let you wait.. ?

Does anyone know if this $15 includes the set up (tables, chairs, white table cloths, silverware, plates, ext) & the food? Or is is $15 per person PLUS the price of the food? My WC said $15 includes the venue and set up ( tables, chairs, etc) and a 3 course meal (appetizer, main, dessert) . If you want a 4 course (soup, salad, main, dessert), it will be an additional $10. I requested a to have 2 entree options (no extra charge), that way my guests have a choice between chicken or beef. That said, I'm still on the fence about having a plated dinner or having a buffet. Plated dinner seems more formal which I like, and the guests get buffet all the time at the resort. BUT! the buffet has a lot more options and variety.

I love the idea of clutches instead of flowers! I've been thinking about doing lanterns.. I just don't know how well that would translate at a 3pm wedding ceremony while the sun is still up. They'll be great for centerpieces later at night though. I love your color scheme BTW. The bits of silver will add more glamour to everything!

Hi! I used a TA, but didn't get a group rate. To avail of the group rate, a number of your guests have to make a deposit ahead of time (you have to book 10 rooms on average). It was a headache to get all my guests to commit to certain dates, so I opted out. I just went ahead and found a TA who gave me better rates than Expedia. This way my guests can customize their own trip, and I don't have to bug people about booking certain dates. The only advantages I saw was having the TA "block rooms" for your guests so you are together in a certain area of the hotel, and savings you get from the group rate.

That's cool. "Of course, all of your current and new bookings remain intact under the same terms, to enjoy our known passion to please guests´ experiences." That's statement sums up the most important thing to me. Wedding arrangements stay the same. I just hope the "non-instrusive" improvements really are non intrusive for the sake of the fall brides

My fiance downloaded a spreadsheet checklist online. I don't know where he got it, but I think he just googled it. It gives you a pretty good timeline.. Like when to get your wedding jewelry, lingerie, etc and important things like submitting church or legal requirements. You can customize it to suit your wedding. Made it a lot easier to manage things according to a timeline rather than trying to get everything done all at once hope this helps!
