That is nice you are already legally married! I wish we could do that. and Yeah, it seems to be a lot to do, but I have a big family and just having a legal ceremony just seems to be the best deal and will have to go through that hassle! Fingers crossed it won't be that stressful of a process. Your wedding will be here before you know it! Have you heard from your coordinator to set a location for your ceremony and reception yet? I am so excited for everyone's special day and think it is so nice to have a forum of other brides to share the experience with!

Hello, I saw you were a recent bride! Congrats! I have a question. Did you do the legal ceremony at the moon palace?! If so, how did the process go? I choose to have the legal ceremony and I am also having a hard time finding a past bride who had a legal ceremony. It makes me a little nervous, that everyone seems to do the symbolic and now I am Wondering if there is a reason why...(I hope not) I am just curious to see if the legal ceremony is legit or not. If not..do you recommend that I Should change to the symbolic ceremony? Thank you in advance for anyone who can help!

I am getting married June 2014 and was told the same. It's a little nerve wrecking having to wait, but I hear it all works out!! However, I have heard that some people know before the 90 days, so I am unsure how that works. Are you having a legal or symbolic ceremony? -
I a Thats good! We are legally getting married at moon palace. Getting married here and then doing a symbolic is just...well "tricky" with my family. Everyone would want to see both, so it would be odd to have that many people see us get married twice. However, it seems a lot easier to get married here and then symbolic there. I hope the legal marriage process is legit there and it all works out. It's kind of scaring me that so many brides on here are doing symbolic and not the legal ceremony.

I'm so happy to see that you had a wonderful experience!!!! I really want my hair down, but based off prior "windy" posts I figured having it all up would be good so its not all over the place in photos. I am surprised to see you left your hair down, but it is not wind blown and it looks gorgeous!!! I'm sure the guests had a fabulous time! Congratulations!

I am not sure. I have just been told to wait until the coordinator contacts me 90 days prior and dont select the location until then. Kind of nerve wrecking to wait that far. So far I am just working on sending out "save the dates" and collecting stuff for guest travel bags as the wedding favor! If you hear anything more please post it

That does make sense! I'm doing the complimentary package. Do you know if we can bring our own photographer, instead of using theirs? I have my own photographer that is a guest as well and I am bringing to Mexico.

Ahh! So excited, congrats and have fun! I am getting married on June 20th as well, but next year! such a great date! Will you post a review after your wedding about the weather? (The heat is one of my biggest worries since it is June 20th) and if you can give any insight for the process or if translating documents is hard to do(the pre-wedding duties!)

I am planning on using an IPOD for my ceromony and reception.. Does anyone have any recommendations for music to add or those brides who already had their wedding, Is there any reccomendations or playlists you feel like sharing?!

Do they off do they offer a "plan b" option?! I am getting married on the beach, and was curious about that. If you can get a "plan b" i wonder if there is an extra fee for that.

You have not waited too long.. I am getting married in June as well, and yes! A lot of dates are already booked up! First you select the date/time and complete the actual wedding contract with moon palace. Then you will work on the dates you want to stay and book all of that through them or you can use a different travel agent. (But that comes after saving your date) Hope that helps! It does help! Thank you . Yes I am sure it will be wonderful! It freaks me out as well because you don't know the final costs of the reception and what not 3 months prior...but if it was extremely high, I am sure others would be complaining versus saying how wonderful the wedding was! .
