  1. this is awesome gals! I need to add these to my playlist!
  2. IPhone here all the way! I just need to find good & cheap portable speaker for it! We are only having 4 guests & just a dinner reception so I think while the Bose is awesome it's probably overkill for our purposes.
  3. I'm super late so I don't know how helpful I can be but my FI's brother & his wife had their ceremony & reception at the Roswell River Landing (it's right on the Hooch & has a large indoor & outdoor space). Not exactly Kennesaw, but not too far either. They brought in their own caterer, music, & drinks there & said it was the most reasonably priced thing they could find. Good luck!
  4. I'll have to look into that Model in a Bottle- did you use regular or sensitive skin?
  5. I'm having cups sewn in as I'm a small A cup & my dress has a low back. I seriously considered the nu-bra until I read that it doesn't react well with sweat, and Me+Mexico+wedding dress= lotsa sweat... The last thing I need is fake titty's falling out of the bottom of my dress!
  6. Gorgeous bouquets! Your post means there is hope for my DIY bouquet yet!! =)
  7. if it's easier my e-mail is [email protected] It would be awesome if someone could send it me there- please & thank you!
  8. This would be awesome for our bags as well but it says I don't have the required permissions to download?
  9. Our resort was able to do a toned-down package for us. Their smallest package was $1750 but it was for 10 people. We were able to negotiate it down to $1400. Just take a look at their lowest package, and send them an e-mail only with the items you need/want and see what type of discount they can give you. It may have helped that I told our coordinator that if we didn't get it below $1500 we would have to start looking elsewhere....

  11. Thanks Lynda! I did look at that thread & my main issue is that my coordinator says that on our particular island, Isla Mujeres, they no longer require apostilles or translations of birth certificates, however all the info from the Island's registry office online says they do require apostilles & translations (but our coordinator said it's been pretty recent that they stopped requiring them- maybe their website just isn't updated?); also all the info I can find for the state of Quinta Roo says the same. So I have no idea why my coordinator is saying I don't need those things & she still has not responded to my e-mail asking for clarification.... =(

  13. Hi - I am getting married at Privilege Aluxes in Isla Mujeres, just off the coast of Cancun, in July of this year. The hotel coordinator Elba has been very helpful but I can't seem to get a straight list of what we need to do out of her paperwork wise. She has told me that she needs the following, but I am finding conficting information on some of the items online (see my **) -Birth certificates for both me & my FI ** She said original english is fine but when I go to the Isla Mujers registrar website it claims they need them translated & apostilled, I e-mailed her about this a week ago but haven't heard back yet... -Formato de Solicitud de Matrimonio: Application for marriage (which she sent me) completed in spanish -Formato Protesta: Some type of Spanish declaration about not being married before & having no impediments (which she sent me) -Blood Test (which she is arranging at the hotel for us) - passports & tourist cards - of course our 4 witnesses & their passports & tourist cards Does anyone know anything I'm missing here- she keeps giving me the requirements in pieces throughout our e-mails & I'd really like to get it all set in stone since we're nearly 3 mos out & apostilles & translations take time. I am especially worried about our birth certificates. She claims that Isla Mujeres no longer requires translations or apostilles but their website says clearly that our birth certificates must be apostilled & translated (well, as clear as google translate can get I suppose)...... 15. No luck whatsoever... Sunhorse weddings said they generally could make it happen within our budget but they are on vacation during our date so we just went with the hotel....
