(i'm pretty impressed with PhotoShopCaribe now) did you hire them for videography as well??.....looks like you had a wonderful day....thank u for that review You are the 3rd or 4th bride that says paying $1000 for the private dinner just isn't worth it....FH and I really wanted to go for a more "private" affair but I mean, did you even notice the other guests in the restaurant? were you able to do speeches? I'm kind of leaning towards just a semi-private dinner now Anyway....congrats...all the best and thank you again for providing that review with pics

    jenmheadrick ; ALL those decorations (chair covers with sashes, white drapes on gazebo, head table flowers) were included in the silver package???? Your pics look lovely!!!! how long was your ceremony?

    thank you so much Melissa!! I took at look at both of the emails and wow...quite pricey I'd say!! But I guess because they are mostly made with real fresh flowers. But still....anyway...I guess I'll be bringing more of my own stuff ! lol Thanks!!

    hey ladies....can anyone tell me what options the resort has in terms of center pieces? and how much they charge? I have some centerpieces I will be taking but I need some "flowery" add ons. thanks

    Hey ladies....I, too, got my clear tumblers from Dollarama....for $2 each. I was upsetttt when I saw that Dollar Tree has the same ones for $1.25 BUT like TRAM13 says...the straws are milky looking and not as nice...So I can live with myself for now lol... I looked and looked high and low for print shops that do permanent waterproof stickers (thanks to SillaFeliz for the template By the way!!) and I found a place...it's downtown (Gerrard and Pape I believe) and they charged me $50 for the stickers I wanted. They first told me i was going to get 50 stickers. But I ended up getting 112!!!! (dunno how that happened)...they are 3"x3.25" i believe and they are perfect. I have not yet tested them if they're waterproof yet but I stuck one on my tumbler and that thing isn't coming off! the place is called club ink. http://www.clubink.ca/ hope this helps!!!

    oh wow.....I was not even aware that could even happen! When we book, we are booked for that week...and people put deposits down for that WEEK. why would it change suddenly? Some people (like my fiance) have a hard time booking off of work as it is...so to change it would probably give me a panic attack too!!! Well I'm glad the resort was able to accomodate....hope it works out!

    Hey Congrats on your engagement! I find that palladium website confusing as well...which is why I get most of my info through these forums (SO HELPFUL) and emailing carolina....which yes, she does take a couple days to reply. I don't know about anyone else, but I find that on Fridays, she is quicker to reply.....But not the case this last time...I emailed her April 5 and still haven't heard from her :S hope everything is ok. I know she's busy. You can book your date whenever...and yes pacakge pricing will probably go up by 2015. A symbolic ceremony is not legal. In other words...ppl who are having a symbolic wedding are gettin legally married in their hometown first and then goin to do the wedding at the Grand Palladium....or couples that are just renewing their vows. It is cheaper and less work because the paperwork that is involved to get married legally in the DR is too much for some. And I've heard that it can take quite some time and money to get the papers translated and mailed to you.... The symbolic wedding right now is $690 and that includes a semi private dinner at an a-la-carte restaurant for 20 ppl (this ppl max has now been reduced to 8 ppl though). All the other packages are Karen Bussen packages and as far as I know, they do not include a dinner. and they are only for 8 ppl max. Over 8ppl is $20 per person. I'm sure you can do a beach party (although not 100%) with a Karen Bussen package...I don't see why not. But it is extra. $15/pp for open bar (again, this is a 2013 rate) and i believe $350 for a dj and all the sound stuff. There's extra like hiring DJ Mannia (I think $550) and having a dance floor (wood or light up). anyway...that's all the info I have! lol Hope that helps! and congrats once again!

You're gettin married the week after us Yeah after booking the wedding date and time...it's just a matter of choosing what package...and since you have no guests that means you have THE LEAST amount of stress! lol I am no expert but I've read that you do get to choose everything once in DR....You go with your ideas and just tell Carolina what you want and she's the fairy godmother basically lol. Yes, I'm very hands on and picky myself so it is challenging but that is the beauty of it all!! I have pics some pics if you want i can email them to you happy planning!

    Does anyone know if (and how much) you can hire some entertainers for your beach party at the GPPC?? Like dancers or those performers that throw fire around (lol sorry I don't know the proper name) If anyone has done this please let me know.

    Good question!!! interested to hear the feedback on this....I also have a mermaid dress with a lace up back....I LOVE how it looks all tightened up to give me that real mermaid silhouette but I want to be able to breathe! lol and dance and eat. The consultant says to just lift it a bit when I want to sit.....I think mine will have a little room ...my first fitting is not until July...so we'll see how it feels then

    Hello ladies...just a quick question...you think I should buy these first aid kits 7 months in advance or wait it out? My concern is mainly for the rubbing alcohol wipes (if that's what is inside) will dry out by November?? Or are they meant to last that long? My fear is that the dollar store will stop putting these out for sale and then I have to hunt for other ones that will most likely (with my luck) end up costing more. :S
