  1. It's open bar from my understanding but we pay for it in the cost of the reception. To upgrade to premium liquors is yet another fee too!
  2. The DJ being an extra $150 doesn't seem that bad...but I want to say that my WC told me at some point that to extend the reception another hour was an additional $10 per head!! And we have over 60 people so that kills me!! (Originally we thought about 20-30 would actually come). I'm sure it's for the alcohol but still...it's an All Inclusive so it irritates me!
  3. Well it's great to hear that! I want everyone to have the most memorable wedding experience so I think we'll do it. Do you mind telling me what your schedule of events was?
  4. Is worth paying the extra hour fee per guest for the hour? I'm just struggling with the concept of paying an extra hour for over 50 guests! That's a ton of money! (Originally we were thinking we'd have a maximum of 20-30 people but everyone so far is coming...eeek...the prices just keep hiking)!!
  5. Maybe because we have different packages perhaps? They're listed as an extra option for us. I'm not remembering off the too of my head...did you pay for an extra hour? Or you added it at the time of the actual wedding since everyone was having fun? Did the DJ mind staying an extra hour if this is what you did? (Sorry...I've been reading reviews today so I'm muddling up the different ones in my head! Lol)
  6. They're going to be a pain to pack for us since there's 8 of them but honestly you can't beat the price!! Especially after you see small lanterns in other stores for $25+ plus that don't pack flat!
  7. That would be fun to do for my AHR since I don't have to worry about packing it up!
  8. Does anyone know if we're allowed to release sky lanterns at the end of the night at our resort?
  9. We just drove up to Austin to Ikea to get our lanterns and with 8 of them purchased they are quite bulky even though they are packed "flat". They are larger than I anticipated but you can't beat the price and we'll use them again for our AHR and then in our homes! Just hope that breaking them down doesn't break them!! Eeek!
  10. Thank you so much!! Luckily at my resort they have an entire Gluten Free menu for my mamma...but wedding cake wasn't mentioned there so this will be amazing if it works out!
  11. Ohhhh could you give me that person's info? My mother has Celiac disease so that would be amazing to find!
  12. I'm a little worried about the heat but I'm hoping for a breeze! At least everyone else can wear cool clothes! I just need to remember to hydrate with my big ol' dress! Lol
  13. I don't know the designer...I'm the worst bride ever! Lol! I got it at David's Bridal and it's the cheaper version of a Vera Wang apparently...I just wanted to get the whole dress buying thing over with on the first shot! Lol
  14. I agree with you...I get more info on this board than I do from our WC! Knowing what questions and options to ask for through here shouldn't be the way it is! They should be presenting me with options (and stay at the same price!) instead of the other way around! Lol
  15. I actually found some at DSW...my dress is the same as yours!
  16. I'm not at your resort but I'm finding the honestly level to be a bit "off" at ours too! All to nickel and dime us! And when I ask a very simple point-blank-bottom-line question requiring a simple answer they still seem to skirt around it. Very frustrating! I know once we get down there it will all be fabulous...if I have any hair left from pulling it all out by then! Lolol
  17. Thanks for the info! Have you seen your video yet?? Are you happy with it compared to your free one from the resort (which I loved)?
  18. I guess we could! Food for thought! Time to start really making decisions!! Lol
