  1. Y'all are inspiring me to be more pro-active in arranging an excursion! I was thinking the Sunday after the wedding (Saturday night) because some guests leave on Monday but I'm not sure what state of fragility everyone will be in from the wedding so I don't know if it would be a waste...hmmmm...any thoughts? Just make it optional? But then I'll feel awful if nobody shows up. Or maybe arrange the dolphin swims for that day? And a fishing excursion for the men who wanted to go? Just stinks cuz then I know my future husband would want to do that and I'd really love to spend our first day married doing something together (sea sick on a deep sea fishing boat doesn't sound like the way I want to spend the first day of the rest of our lives! Lol).

  2. Price point wise we picked the Gran Porto Real. May not be the swankiest AI around Plats but it's close enough to walk to 5th street if people want to get away and there's plenty to do for the kids! Also we qualified for the free wedding thanks to booking so many rooms. Obviously the a la carte things may add up but at least we are customizing it the way we want. Just a suggestion: talk to Wendy Hicks of the Wright Agency! She's here on the boards (that's how I found her) and she's been a lifesaver from the first time I spoke with her!! She will help you figure out the perfect location for your desires and help you narrow it down like she did for us! She even took the time on her last trip down to go over to the resort specifically to take photos of the ceremony location so I could see a "real life" view instead of marketing photos! She's amazing!! Hope that helps!

  3. Me too...but I can't justify the price and honestly the dollar tree ones are pretty awesome compared to some I've seen! They have almost the identical ones at Michaels for $8.99!! I went back to DT today and couldn't believe that out of the hundreds of them they had a week ago they only had 5 left!! I'm so happy we pounced when we did! We did score today on individual packets of tissue for the OOT today...8 for a dollar and the packs are nice tropical colours!

  4. These are amazing! I know you mentioned you took a seperate suitcase for them but I have a technical question...had you already separated the items into the individual "survival kits" when you traveled with them or did you keep them all in their original boxes and assemble them when you got there? I know I don't want to spend a ton of time putting together 30+ bags once we arrive when there's so many other things that need to be done, but I'm worried about air pressure causing things like sunscreen to leak during the flight. Any guidance would be awesome! Thanks so much!

  5. Just FYI girls...Dollar Tree has their awesome insulated tumblers out! We wiped our local one out of the fuscha, purple, orange and lime ones the other day! At a $1.00 a piece I don't care so much if our guests never use them again. Now I just need to figure out where to get waterproof stickers to put on them or if it's easier to do it myself? Anyone have any ideas? Also getting 50 of them down to Mexico should be interesting! Lol
