What a great find!  If we hadn't already found a suit that works, I totally would have dragged us over to JOS Bank.

We also got quite a deal on a suit that can be found in stores (My fiance did not want to order online).  We purchased the groom and groomsmen's outfits from Macys.  The outfits can be found here:  http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/perry-ellis-crimini-textured-blazer-vest-pants?ID=737274&CategoryID=17788#fn=sp%3D1%26spc%3D249%26ruleId%3D66%26slotId%3D36.  My FI's suit was around $170 (jacket and pants) + tie + shirt = probably around $300 for his outfit.  Macys frequently does those 25% off weekends and then they do the addition 15% if you have a card.  We took advantage of this and so we got 40% off of the outfits.  For three groomsmen, their outfits (tie, vest and pants) came to a total of around $450.

I ended up ordering my dream dress that I was comparing every other dress to. It's modern but has vintage touches in the flowers and beading, which is exactly what I wanted.

It's Hayley Paige's Nina (HP6254). [be careful doing a Google image search on that -- there was a porn star with the same name!]

I have decided to sew/attach my sash to my dress.  All we need to do is take in the upper bust sides so we can push "the girls" up a bit...and add an eyelet hook in the back as well as a bustle.  They will be sewing a bra into the dress - hence, the sloppiness up at the sweetheart/bust/lace line...there were pins and cups and all kinds of things going on in there at the time the photo was takem.  ;-)  LOL

We leave in 44 days - I go back for fitting #2 March 5th.

I have tentatively booked my wedding date in August 2013 in the Beloved but I'm having so much trouble trying to arrange a group contract.  I will have guests travelling from UK, USA and Australia and the hotel seems not to be responding to my Travel Agent.  I'm using one in Australia where I am living now.

Can anyone offer any help or advice or did anyone have the same problems with the Groups Department in the hotel?

I'm really close to just giving up... and I've not even started with the wedding planning!!!

    Thanks

    Nicola

Hey Nicola, did you end up getting everything sorted out with the groups department?  Hope planning is going well and is back on track!

Hey there!  I haven't received any quotes for the dj yet, but I think Alejandro has been great!  He's pretty responsive and very nice.  I haven't requested the DJ pricing yet so if anyone else can share, I'd appreciate it as well!

I have narrowed my shoes down to 3 pairs, and I'm having a tough time deciding between them so I'm looking for opinions! cheesy.gif I'm debating between these 3 pairs:

I'm think I'm leaning mostly between the first 2 because from what I've seen in other pics online, the 3rd pair are a really shiny patent gold which might be too much for my dress and the setting.

This are pics of my dress to show you what i'll be wearing them with:

Actually, I intend or hope to keep my dress on for as long as possible and then switch into a more comfy dress just to after party at the lounge at the resort. I found this dress on Camille La Vie for $199 and thought it would be awesome.

Also, in regards to paying to have your dress cleaned, I did a TTD in a cenote (so it had no sand in it) and I had the resort dry clean it, I figured for $130 pesos (about $10-$11 US) if I did it in Mexico once or twice it would cost a fraction of what it would cost at home. They did an AMAZING job and my dress was 100% like new after one dry cleaning job at the resort!

what a great idea!  soooo cheap!!!

What do people think.. They look more bubble gum pink in these picture but they do have a more coral colour to them. They are the right height, the right style and right colour I was hoping to find but they have that shiny pleather finish.. Not too crazy about the shiny finish for my wedding shoe.. Love to hear others opinions.

i agree with Peach!  Those are cute and coral is a hard color to find in a style you'll like at the right height!  Nice work!  :-)
