I would start by asking your hotel wedding coordinator. Or perhaps your DJ company or your wedding planners (like Planner1 or Mayan Hospitality). It really does look so cool!

cute idea! i think it's even more appreciated at a wedding back at home since people don't usually bring flip flops to a wedding. but i bet my friends will just run back to their rooms right between cocktail hour and the reception to throw on flip flops (that they brought themselves) if their feet are killing them since it's a DW. haha!

i think that looks so awesome! definitely something you wouldn't do at a wedding back home so it would be so special!

So here it is on our wedding day... Thanks so much for your help, ladies!
You can see the back here a bit
And the top is shown more in this one
And here you can see it blowing in the wind... It was very windy! But I liked the movement. It just flowed right behind me
congratulations! i love the bodice of your dress...so romantic!

What do you all think of the appliqué on the side?
you look amazing! i love all the details!

After waiting 5 months, the dress finally came in and I had my fitting last weekend and although i love it without any bling...i asked to pin on some appliques to see what it would look like. "umph" to it i think....i told the lady that i would think about it...and bring it back if i wanted to add it....i keep looking at the pictures and i'm not sure which one i love more! I wish i could ask my fiance for his opinion lol but it's just not an option. So ladies, help me out here!
THIS IS THE DRESS AS SHOWN ON MODEL

SO WITH? OR WITHOUT??
THANKS IN ADVANCE
You look awesome! It is so flattering on you! I personally like it better without the applique. However, I think a bling-y belt/sash would add some sparkle!

Since I will have nicer shoes, I want my bridesmaids and MOH to also wear shoes but I did make them these for beach pictures and for whenever else they want to wear them.
These were fairly simple to make even though I had never done any beading. I purchased all my supplies at Michael's (with a nice coupon!)
Supplies:
Beads
Clear Elastic Thread
Beading Needle
Patience and no kids! lol (We have an 18 month old son and this project was definitely done after bed time)
All I did was string the beads onto the elastic using the beading needle and once it was long enough to fit around my ankle made a knot. Then I added the beads for the long part that goes over top my foot. Once that was at a good length, I added the smaller beads that go around the toe. Then, I made a circle with the small beads to create a loop for the toe, tying a knot between the toe loop and the long string of beads. That's it! I know it sounds kind of complicated, but I can't really type the instructions clearer. It's really trial and error, though. Just basically string beads long enough to fit your foot and you'll be good to go.
I made myself an ivory pair:
Please excuse my unmanicured, not-so-cute feet. My feet really don't look THAT dinosaur-ish in real life...it's hard to take a good picture of your own foot! lol
My bridesmaids, MOH, and flower girl will all wear purple:
Happy Planning, ladies! I know this one is a little confusing as far as my instructions, so please let me know if you have any questions!

very inspiring! i was thinking of buying these but perhaps i will try making them myself! haha! thank you!

oooh! I love it! So classy and elegant with a touch of sexy...congrats on finding your dress!!!

Congratulations!!! You look amazing and the flowers are BEAUTIFUL! I cannot wait for my own flowers to come in!!! Any advice on how to get them all down to Mexico? I'm nervous as they are clearly above $300 in total (above the customs amount). Did you divide up the bouquets and pomanders between your friends and family members?

I think wedding snap costs money for the bride and groom (but free for the guests to use). We are going with wedpics! And they show you how to add the app info to your wedding website so your guests can download the app at home prior to leaving for your wedding. Then they can upload the phone pics after the wedding (even those from their cameras)! I know our resort has free wifi, so people can upload that way and not get hit with data charges! Just thought I'd share!

My photographer, Samuel Luna, was amazing and it will take 8 weeks (7 more weeks from today!) to get all the pictures. That seems like an eternity to me but gives me high hopes of them being amazing! If it takes 8 weeks to edit pictures they must be awesome! In the meantime here are 2 teasers he posted (both from our TTD):
Congrats! Your pics are amazing! I can't wait to see more. I love your DIY details...so personal and beautiful!

I think you will need to send Alejandro a copy of the confirmation of your reservation (so he can see that you are booked for the time period of your wedding). And then he should send you a pdf confirmation letter with your wedding date and wedding confirmation number. Once you start planning with what specific items you would like to add (such as rehearsal dinner menu, reception menu, any add-ons such as DJ, flowers), he'll create a quote for you when you get to a good point or near finalization. Congrats on setting the date!

I know this is a studio suits thread but I just wanted to share that we just bought linen suits (in khaki/light beige) from the perry ellis outlet store and they were $90 (after 50% off and an additional 10% off student discount)! They aren't custom-made and they only had 1 color at the outlet, but the price was too good to pass up! I'm not sure if the sale is over but something to consider!

any bargain websites for cute cake toppers? i want something unique to show off our personalities but don't want to spend so much on a cake topper (even if it's a keepsake).
