So here it is on our wedding day... Thanks so much for your help, ladies!

I ordered my dress yesterday!!! It is a high-low and needs a few alterations. I would like to make it into a modified sweetheart neckline (as pinned in picture) and shorten/pin up the train. I hope the sweetheart neckline will still look good for the wedding in January as I won't have much cleavage... I plan to stop nursing my daughter before then (5 months now, pictured in background). What do you all think of the appliqué on the side?400

you look amazing! i love all the details!

I need your opinions fellow brides!! I am a bling lover but when i first saw this dress on the internet, i fell in love...i love the simplicity and elegance of it...I looked and looked for it and finally found it and loved it even more when I tried it on. After waiting 5 months, the dress finally came in and I had my fitting last weekend and although i love it without any bling...i asked to pin on some appliques to see what it would look like. I still love it without the bling applique...but the rhinestone applique just adds more .... "umph" to it i think....i told the lady that i would think about it...and bring it back if i wanted to add it....i keep looking at the pictures and i'm not sure which one i love more! I wish i could ask my fiance for his opinion lol but it's just not an option.  So ladies,  help me out here!

    SO WITH? OR WITHOUT??

    THANKS IN ADVANCE :)

You look awesome! It is so flattering on you! I personally like it better without the applique. However, I think a bling-y belt/sash would add some sparkle!

I have seen these on the internet and they seem popular (and practical) for a beach wedding. I actually have shoes that I LOVE that I will wear for the ceremony and pictures. Since I will have nicer shoes, I want my bridesmaids and MOH to also wear shoes but I did make them these for beach pictures and for whenever else they want to wear them.

These were fairly simple to make even though I had never done any beading. I purchased all my supplies at Michael's (with a nice coupon!)

    Supplies:

    Beads

    Clear Elastic Thread

    Beading Needle

Patience and no kids! lol (We have an 18 month old son and this project was definitely done after bed time)

All I did was string the beads onto the elastic using the beading needle and once it was long enough to fit around my ankle made a knot. Then I added the beads for the long part that goes over top my foot. Once that was at a good length, I added the smaller beads that go around the toe. Then, I made a circle with the small beads to create a loop for the toe, tying a knot between the toe loop and the long string of beads. That's it! I know it sounds kind of complicated, but I can't really type the instructions clearer. It's really trial and error, though. Just basically string beads long enough to fit your foot and you'll be good to go.

I made myself an ivory pair:

Please excuse my unmanicured, not-so-cute feet. My feet really don't look THAT dinosaur-ish in real life...it's hard to take a good picture of your own foot! lol

My bridesmaids, MOH, and flower girl will all wear purple:

Happy Planning, ladies! I know this one is a little confusing as far as my instructions, so please let me know if you have any questions! :)

My maid of honor forced me to try on this Allure 8856 even though I made it clear to everyone, NO STRAPS!! After trying the dress on, that was it I fell in love! This Allure gown fit me to the T and hugged me in the right places, even my hips which look fabulous in the dress. I cannot wait for the dress to arrive and will post pics with me in it :)

    Thanks for the information!

I think wedding snap costs money for the bride and groom (but free for the guests to use). We are going with wedpics! And they show you how to add the app info to your wedding website so your guests can download the app at home prior to leaving for your wedding. Then they can upload the phone pics after the wedding (even those from their cameras)! I know our resort has free wifi, so people can upload that way and not get hit with data charges! Just thought I'd share!

Here's my wedding gown! Its a Lazarro and I was fortunate enough to buy it as a sample dress so I only paid a fraction of the original price. I got married July 5th in Mexico, so I was a little hot when I was dancing around at our reception but it was well worth it. I loved my dress and wish I could wear it again!

so beautiful! love the beaded bodice! i also love your bridesmaid's dress! congratulations!!!!

    Hi girls!

So we got back from our wedding almost a week ago and I am so sad it's all over. sad.gif we had the most amazing time and I can't wait to go back! I won't go int detail because I do plan to wrote a review and post the last few projects that didn't make it to my planning thread :)

My photographer, Samuel Luna, was amazing and it will take 8 weeks (7 more weeks from today!) to get all the pictures. That seems like an eternity to me but gives me high hopes of them being amazing! If it takes 8 weeks to edit pictures they must be awesome! In the meantime here are 2 teasers he posted (both from our TTD):

Hey girls one more question, I confirmed the date with Alejandro and booked our reservation for that date. Is this all I have to do to ensure the date is set ? Is there any contract that we have to sign ? The date is for August 2014

I think you will need to send Alejandro a copy of the confirmation of your reservation (so he can see that you are booked for the time period of your wedding). And then he should send you a pdf confirmation letter with your wedding date and wedding confirmation number. Once you start planning with what specific items you would like to add (such as rehearsal dinner menu, reception menu, any add-ons such as DJ, flowers), he'll create a quote for you when you get to a good point or near finalization. Congrats on setting the date!

  10. I know this is a studio suits thread but I just wanted to share that we just bought linen suits (in khaki/light beige) from the perry ellis outlet store and they were $90 (after 50% off and an additional 10% off student discount)! They aren't custom-made and they only had 1 color at the outlet, but the price was too good to pass up! I'm not sure if the sale is over but something to consider!
