I agree, Wendy is great! I have been asking billions of questions and she has been consistent in being prompt. I know when I e-mail her I won't be waiting days for a response. Pretty soon I will start getting the contract portion and it's good to know I'm in good hands!

I've been working with Wendy Hicks and poor thing have I made her work. I have asked her so many, many questions and she is always happy to respond and does so in a timely manner. She has a lot of input and has been so essential in helping me pick my resort!!

Wow your right, for $56 it's a perfect Trash the dress even if it doesn't look the way you expected it too. I was so concerned about trashing my dress and it never occured to me to just buy a knock off for it! Great Idea ladies!

I would talk to the person who is coordinating your wedding. I"m sure this comes up a lot. Only civil ceremonies are legal, but it depends I think if you want to be officially married in Mexico or in a certain state in the USA. Here is something I found that might help: State and province regulations vary. A Catholic wedding in Mexico is an official Catholic wedding in the United States under Catholic Canon Law. It is your responsibility to see if your official Catholic wedding in Mexico will be recognized under the laws of your state, as a civil marriage. It is your responsibility to verify your state's requirements and if this would be valid under your state's laws.

Marriage is about a commitment, not about parties, but of course those are nice. but you need to do what you need to do to make sure you are ok. there might be some hurt feelings. Many people are upset we are getting married so far away, but I look back and they didn't go to my graduation, etc. It was my close friends and family who showed. I'm having a super cheap AHR because I'm on the same boat as you. I am just getting together and having a wine and cheese reception and showing my video of the wedding at my mom's or aunts house. Their houses are quite small, so I can't fit everyone sitting down. remember your AHR can be during summer or something like that, this way you can pick a park or something to save on cost go with your gut and what you and your partner really want without worrying about others. i know easier said than done!

Anyone have an undedited version of their mayan ceremony? The pictures look amazing and sounds great, but Utube only has videos with music over them. I really want to hear what they say and look at what the experience is really like. please share
