  1. I really like the chandeleirs they put up..anyone know where they got them or rented them from?
  2. anyone have pictures of the floral arrangement options for the gazebo and for boquets, boutenaires, etc...I know i've seen a page with this going around but I can't find it. Thanks!
  3. I used a travel agent too. this way I don't have to worry about it and my guest can contact them directly. the travel agent contacts the hotel and you get a group rate.
  4. I have claudia. I will be arriving the 15th to Cancun but not arriving until the 17th to Dreams...boooooo we will miss eachother! yes 7 months..woo hooo! but i haven't officially booked yet
  5. I dont think you should worry. I don't have the number on hand but if you call resort and tell them to transfer you to wedding department. I e called about 5 times and they always answer the phone! Any questions you have, we might have answer to do ask away!
  6. You said it was $580 per person if they are staying in a double, right? If that's the case then I didn't get such a bad deal because I'm paying $439 per person for 3 nights, but I have many guest only staying for one night, so they can't get the same daily rate. But you had better rooms, I'm getting just the deluxe rooms. I"m going to look more into it just to be sure though. I had the option of transfers but I chose not too because many are renting cars and shuttles are not that expensive. It' s so great to be able to share this info.
  7. I'm going through an agent too, but I'm having the free wedding because I'm just having the reception off site. Jana who did you use? Beachwed I figured that too but travel agent said if they don't book 3 nights they do not get the group rate, so they would have to purchase online rate which is $333 per night right now. Are you having same issue or do they still get same rate through your agent?
  8. I was so bummed when I moved to Dreams Cancun after being set on DRC, but the price difference is huge!! It was over $200 per person per night for a double room, but it was $138 for the Dreams Cancun. I figured if it meant I'd have more guest staying at the hotel, it would be worth it. Regardless, people are complaining about the price and staying at their timeshare but I figured at least I chose a reasonable priced hotel. good luck with your choice!
  9. thanks so much beachwed. I must saw this! Any updates! I'm getting really bummed because my guest do not want to stay the dreams. they feel it is too expensive per day and many of them are staying at their timeshares. the cost is $276 a night...so it's not bad at all..oh well!
  10. anyone have the prices for the spa and for hair and makeup etc...I'm doing a honeymoon regsitry!! But I can't get the info online!
  11. For the monograms we used wedding chicks..but the actual boarding pass the FI did on photoshop. I did the RSVP's and magnets on publisher. Thanks everyone for the comments!
  12. Love the pictures. Where did you get the bridesmaid dresses. I like them very much!
  13. where did you get the paper? Are you far from the states? Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Maybe I can pick up and ship to you if it's a major chain or website that only ships to the US.
  14. This is what we did for the back. It is approximate and in US dollars. The cardstock paper $20 for 250 sheets, using left overs for menus, signs, etc The actual boarding passes were printed on rack cards on vistaprint.com and paid $35 for 100. The heart hole puncher $1 The scorer was about $ 4 For the lace for 100 invites paid about $ 22 I already had white cardstock for the monogram and I had postcards as well and I just printed them, so it wasn't too much of an additional cost for me. If I didn't have so many invites to do, I would have probably bought the sparkling, prettier cardstock. I didn't want to throw the paper I already bought since most people will probably not keep our invites for long anyways
  15. I decided that we did not want to cut the boarding passes so we just ordered rack cards from vista print, which saved us time and money. I gave in and got the magnets at vistaprint as well, the rest of the stuff I printed at home. I didn't take a picture of the back of it, but it has the TA information and reception information on it. I decided to make brochures for those who attend with detailed information.
  16. I finished them. Not exactly how I wanted them but I think that these are good enough! I'm ready to get these out of my house and move onto the next stage!
  17. I'm so excited! I have booked a site visit for the end of September! and it seems a few of us will be overlapping! it will be a while, but I will bring back as more info as I can!
  18. Please see below the prices that we are going to handle on 2013. Dreams Wedding in Paradise - $999 usd or complimentary Dreams of Love - $2,309 usd Dreams Ultimate - $3,149 usd This is what I was given by another dreams. They usually handle the same prices.
  19. I love the paper! the white one gives it a nice touch. I just ordered mine on rack cards from vistaprint, we decided not to cut them, but the sleeves we are working on. I can't wait to see what they look like. So far I love what I see!
  20. I will be going to Cancun in September and stopping by flower shops to see what I pic. The combo looks so nice. I think we picked great colors. I sent out a survey monkey to all my guest and asked them if they know if they are going for sure, maybe, or will not for sure. It was kind of a save the date since it was the first time they heard of it, but I least I got a rough estimate. I figured, I'd figure it out if we are short, plus some have time shares and will not be staying at our resort. When is your wedding?
  21. If you have any ideas or pictures, inspirations, please share!!
  22. I can't believe that I am answering yes to this question since my wedding is not until January of next year. I purchased bags but I will be putting them in a box I bought (they had orange and purple ones at IKEA). I'm putting in relaxation and hangover materials in it. I bought my own bottles and I am putting purple salts and bubble bath. I also bought card holders and I am designing something for it. I will probably finish the designs next month and I will post it for you to see. I will also put the final invitations up. Yes my FI is a photoshop wizard and with everyone's ideas and images made the invitations himself! He's very creative and talented. I'll post our save the dates and other stuff sometime this week.
