Hello everyone, I'm pretty new on this site. I am planning a Nov. 2012 wedding and my first choice is at NOW but everything will depend on how much my guests will have to pay ( flight and hotel) Anyways, LOVE the sky lantern idea, how are you all gonna get all your deco with you in Punta Cana ? are you guys planning on sending them out before hand?? Will you be bringing them with you in an another suitcase ? And for those who are giving out gift bags, will you be giving them to you guests at the airport or hotel ??? if at the hotel, how will you bring all this stuff ??

I am having and destination wedding 11/2012 in Punta Cana. I have a couple of resorts in mind but it will depend on how much it will cost my guests (air + hotel ) and I will only be getting the prices around Nov/Dec.So I was thinking about sending some sort of STD/invitation telling my guests the info I got for now, including a website,and asking them if they are interested in coming to give me an idea how many people will join us. The one's who do respond that they are interested, I will send them the rest of the info when I get it (via mail or e-mail) who to contact, as well as a sheet about the shots they need to take, reminder about passport and things they should pack. Think it's a good idea ??? I want to let them know a least a year in advance so they can save up.

Hey Everyone, I am new to this site and loveeee it !!! I spent all day reading posts !! And by the way, CONGRATS for all of you for your weddings We decided on getting married in November 2012. It probably be in Punta Cana since I think I will be able to get under 1300$ for my guests at the hotels i've been looking at. I would have loved it to be in mexico but the rates seems to be higher. I live in a small town and we have to drive 10h to catch the plane so expenses goes up pretty fast. I was told by an agency that I will not be able to get rates (air+hotel) until Nov. or Dec. since they are suposedly not out yet but I can see that some of you have already booked even though that your weddings are more then a year from now, where did you get the rates ?? Even though I do not have the exact date or hotel I was thinking on sending out some sort of invitation on letting my guests know its gonna be next year in punta cana and asking them to tell me if they are interested. If they are not, well I won't have to bother with those people and concentrate on the ones who are interested. You guys think it's a good idea ? Should I let my guests know now even though it's in 15 monthes ? Should I wait for when I get my prices ?? I'm soooo anxious on starting on planing it all, I loveee planing
