  6. PLEASE HELP! I am about 6 weeks out from my wedding and trying to fill out the worksheet to send to Ana. I am so overwhelmed!!!! I still have people pending on coming to the wedding. Is this preliminary? My time frame looks like this... 3:00 wedding on beach 4:00 cocktails at Blue Beach Bar 6:30 doors open to Ocen Front Terrace 7:00 intro bride and groom and wedding party 7:20 start serving dinner when do I do the cake and the toast? has anyone done a signature cocktail? if yes, what? Are they flexable with the dinner choices? some of the choices are a little weird! I thought I was ahead of the game!!!
  7. Hey everybody! I am getting married at Jade on December 5th. I have my wedding ceremony planned for 3:00 because I dont want sunset pictures. I am looking for examples of wedding programs that people made and also somewhat of a time line. I am worried that since we are getting married so early, the entire event will be over super early.

  9. I love that I found this thread! My FI and I have 1 living parent between us (his father). I am going to have my sister and his sister walk down the isle, each with a boquet containing one of those memory lockets with our mom's picture in it. I am going to have a memory locket in my boquet with my dad's picture. I want to honor them, but I didnt want it to be sad. I have to say that planning a wedding with no living parents on my side and his mother passed, it so emotionally draining.
  10. I havent had my wedding yet, but I was just at the UPS store and they sell cardboard suitcases for travel. They were only 10 bucks. I figured you can throw it away and not worry about bringing it back.

  12. I am SO SO SO happy that I found this thread! I am 30 with no kids and my FI is 38 with a set of 7 year old twins. I have been with him since the twins were 4. The first year was crazy because the "mom" wouldnt let me be around the kids. They were never married and she was still into him. Four years later, we are engaged and now getting married in December. I love the kids as they are my own. They live with us during the week (no court orders) because she cant provide for them and get them to school. We need yo go to court, but there is always that chance she will get custody. For the most part, everything works in our favor and the kids are happy, healthy, and taken care of, so thats all that matters. We are worries that she won't sign the passport forms for them to come with us. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to incorporate the FI's twins in the wedding ceremony. I want them included, but I still want the wedding to be about us.

  14. Hey Everybody! My wedding is planned for December 5th at NOW Jade. My invites are sent out and the RSVPs are due back by September 1st. My color is aqua and that is probably the only detail I have. I have looked through the NOW wedding book several times and read through this entire thread. WOW...so many great ideas! I do have a few questions that I thought I would post on here. Any other suggestions or advice would be very much appreciated! How much is the buffet per person ( I didnt even know this was a option) For people who didnt hire a DJ, what are other options? If you bring an IPOD, do you have to rent the speakers? cost? How are the decorations that the resort supplies? candles? I feel like I am not sure where to begin. Money is an issue and we are on a budget. We also face the reality of both of us being young with no living parents to go to for advice and suggestions. Thanks!
