Hi Katis, I decided that the khaki pants & white shirts were too common, so I decided to switch it up! I went with light gray linen shirts & white pants. I figured that was still very neutral, but different from the norm beach wedding.

Awe, so exciting!!! Don't you just love how soon it is now??? I am curious, what do you mean by court ceremony? I am wondering b/c there is a good chance that my sister/ MOH may not be able to make it to Jamaica for our wedding (she is pregnant and having a few minor complications which make the travel more risky for her), which has been upsetting me so much!! So, when I read your post, I thought, maybe we could do something like that! Get officially married here, then she would miss the "real" marriage, just the Jamaican ceremony. I would love to know more!! Thanks so much!!

Hbond, The beach BBQ is $55/ person, but there is no fee for the beach (I believe there is a fee for the other reception sites in addition to the per person fee). I am not sure why they told you nothing on the beach...that is very odd. We are also renting the sound system for the beach bbq, so we will actually have our reception on the beach from 6 pm to 10 pm. However, one thing I have started worrying about that I did not consider when we decided on this.....what if it rains?!?!?! For this reason, I decided to try and book a different form of reception, but all of the other areas are now booked. Sooooo, we are stuck with it. But, I would recommend you consider other options. I can't lie....I am a little stressed myself! Haha! Ladies, who on Etsy (or other site) does the best Real Touch flowers? Islandgirl, are you doing a photobook as your guest book for the wedding, or is it a book of photos of your and your fiance to show the guests? I'm asking b/c I want to do a photo guest book using a polaroid camera (you know the old school ones where the picture pops out immediately) to take a pic of all guests for them to sign next to their picture. The problem is that I can't seem to find a guest book that really works for this sort of thing. And the loose paper used in scrapbooks wouldn't really work. Suggestions? I still have to figure out the jewelry for my bridesmaids, decide how I want my hair done and order a flower for my hair, jewelry for me, jewelry for the flower girls, bridal party gifts, OOT bags, agendas and welcome letters, song list, & write vows. Whew!! That should make you all feel better!! Haha! My biggest stress/ worry/ sadness.....my pregnant sister/ MOH isn't sure she will be coming to the wedding!!! She is concerned about traveling to Jamaica at 7 months pregnant. I am so upset. I have shed some tears over this one. My mom is going to fill in for her if she doesn't come, but I am going to miss my sister so much. I just can't imagine her not being by my side for such an important moment. I will certainly let you know, Krysta. I will be coming home from Jamaica with my pictures in hand (a big perk of using TrueColours is that they are bringing the pics to our honeymoon resort in Negril, already edited, on disc, before we leave the country), so I will post pics as soon as I return. So far, my experience with them has been great. Honestly, the photography seems to be the one things that causes varying opinions on this forum. I think that they are all probably good, but I may not be as picky as I should be. haha. I will keep you posted....only 50 days to go!!! woo hoo!!!!

If you have already gotten all of your answers, then just ignore me. haha! I sent out my invites at the beginning of July for my Sept 10th wedding. I didn't mail save the dates, but I did sent our an electronic save the date from my wedding website (weddingwindow.com). Our website has all of the information for our guests including resort information, times, dates, and plenty of other goodies. It even allows guests to RSVP and suggest songs for the reception! the address for our site is: www.marryingmyaussieprince.weddingwindow.com I send out mass emails from the site to keep our guests in the loop on all wedding events, updates, etc. It has really helped me keep in touch with everyone. That would be my best suggestion for you to get the information out to all of guests ASAP. Hope this helps! Happy planning!!

Canadiangirl, I have to know....what are you doing for your reception? I am doing a private reception as well. I estimate I will have about 30 guests. We aren't hiring a DJ, and our reception will cost close to $1700. I would LOVE to have a DJ and get the cost down to $1000!

Hi Ladies, it has been a while since I checked in...sorry! Been so busy with starting a new business DURING wedding planning...what was I thinking??? Haha. I plan on having her assistant style my hair, but I really do not know much about her. Rashel seems to think I will love my hair, but I am definitely nervous b/c she doesn't seem to get the same rave reviews as Rashel. I want my hair styled down w/ wavy curls, swept back on one side w/ a flower in it. I have very long, thick, yet fine hair. I am praying I love it b/c I am rather picky...... If anyone knows more, keep us posted!!

I didn't order swatches. But, I will tell you that the Irish white linen isn't stark white. My dress is diamond white, and the white linen is only slightly whiter than my dress. Maybe that helps you a little bit....?? Haha.
