Yah I know I read a review where a bride had her steam cleaned at the resort and all of her ruching was screwed up on her dress. It freaked me out because if they run it that's all you got. -

Hi, I'm new to this forum I am going to try and read all of it this week if possible to catch up with you. I also want to lose 15-20 pounds or maybe just 15 LOL but I have avoided dress shopping too because I don't want to buy a dress and then be in a totally different size. I have put off shopping with my friends telling them it' about money and timing but really I'm just insecure right now. All my friends have amazing bodies and look great in everything and it's my day to shine not their's. Is that evil or what LOL -
I have read a few ways to transport your dress. The one way is to ask the air line to put it aside in like a private closet. The only thing is I do not want to dry clean my dress at the resort I do not trust it will be okay. Any one else know of how they are transporting their dress???? Has anyone contacted the air line they have booked with too find out if they do have somewhere they could keep it without it getting bunched up or ruined?

I wanted to ask you a question steph. How long was your ceremony and cake cutting all together? I have set my time for 4:00 and my reception for 6:00 and I a, wandering if that's enough time for the ceremony, toast , cake cuttting, and pictures at the resort and on the beach? I have been thking of trying to move my ceremony or dinner bu another half hour what do you think?

I totally agree and now that I read 15 pp per hour that's 30 bucks per person times however many peope go. That's really pricey. I am really thiking I will buy booze and mix and serve ourselves if possible still talking to the fiance on that one.

Okay you have me so excited my I have the name of the travel agency or your agent that's an amazing price. Also is that a group rate and if so for how many people did you have to book to get that price. Your an angel for this information. This may seem redundant but that's everything tax and fule surcharge wow if that's the case that's amazing. I have been waiting all week-end long to get to work to find out if you replied. thanks a bunch.

Hi, acw271011 The tax thing doesn't make sense to me either. Also the 1250 is a great price Ihave been hoping for 1300. Can you tell me how you got the price I would book now too. I've also been waiting for the prices to go down. I would really really appreciate it

Hey acw271011 I was able to book the italian restaurant no problem for nov 25th and i booked it through a email not sure why there is a difference in what people are being told.

Thanks for the help, and my wedding date is November 25th-2011. I really wish I could get the 2012 prices when I read that I was so pissed off LOL. But I am happy I finally am getting married though nothing can take that happiness away LOL.

I also have been thiking about renting the gazebo witha DJ for 500 but I also thought about buying my own ipod and docking station and getting someone to monitor it for us. I was wandering if the gazebo rental is two hours like the dj or all night? Canyou let me know what quote she gives you for alcohol when you get it I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for the info on the food. Do you know how much an extra layer costs? I'm not a huge cake eater LOL. I set my time for 4:00 thinking that Chandyln said the sunsets in November at 5:30 to 5:45 and then my dinner reservaton is for 6:00. Also my friend is a phtographer and he is coming to take my pics but thanks for the recommendation I appreciate it. I wanted the 4:00 because i want sun beach photo's and sunset photo's. I hope two hours in between is enough time Chandlyn said the ceremony is 15 minutes.

Thanks for the reply ladies, my resort usually only does two weddings a day so hopefully they can move if it need be.

Thank Yo so much Ladies for ally our help. I researched more on thei resort from tripadvisor to the forums especially Kerrij who had nice pictures of everything. I picked the Gran Bahia because of price, location and their packages were great. Thanks for your help Getting married November 25th-2011

So I booked my wedding date directly with Chandlyn, I didn't need a deposit or anything I got a confirmation email too. I haven't even booked my rooms yet I asked her if I needed a credit card deposit and she said no I don't have to pay tillthree months before. -
