  1. Sorry, I meant to say let me know what you end up doing *in* the end! Darn autocorrect
  2. Hi! I'm getting married there in October and had the same concerns. A good friend of mine attended the wedding of her bff and they had made arrangements with Keisha to have the dress sent out to be steamed (its not done on the property). She did admit they were very worried but the dress came back in one piece. That being said, she suggested that I just bring my own steamer to take out the wrinkles. A few brides had done this while she was there. This way the dress is always with you. I think this will be the route I'll be taking. Good luck and let me know what you end up doing interviews end
  3. Krysta..you look absolutely beautiful! Love the shots at Dunns River...I too am convinced even more to do something there. Just need to get FI on board! Congrats again!
  4. Thanks for sharing the pics of what the beach ceremony will look like. And I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that extra charge; 10.50pp for cake and champange! Got to be kidding...and then to charge for chairs...I don't think so. I'll have to get my TA to reserve a nice spot for my dress as well.
  5. Congratulations and welcome back Mrs.!! Woo hoo! I was thinking about you on your big day at the same time we were looking at rings! I truly hope your day was a blessed one. Love the teaser you posted for us to see. Go catch your breathe and then come back and share your day with us chicas, lol. Congrats again!
  6. Congratulations! Have fun with the planning and as many brides will tell you, this website is so helpful.
  7. Sorry...too quick with the submit button, lol. One more question...did you upgrade the cake or used the one with the free package? If so, was it enough for your group? Thanks
  8. Congrats Mrs!! So happy for you and your husband and glad the day was a good one for you both Sorry to hear your troubles with the reservations and the room but I'm glad you were upgraded to the "oceanfront" that really has the view of the ocean, lol. I had stayed there in November and stayed in the oceanview room. A little disappointing but we still had a good time. But this time around I'm going to request the upgrade. While we were there, a big conference was happening which started on our 4th night! So getting reservations was next to impossible. On Sunwing, do they have a place to hang your dress? I look forward to seeing your pictures just to get a better idea. It's one thing to ask the wedding coordinator but a bride truly understands the worries and concerns. Congrats again!
  9. The rings look great in the photos! I have been dropping hints since the third year we were together! We had even gone ring shopping the year before he finally proposed. The one I had liked was out of his price range but the one he got in the end was perfect. For me it has a lot of meaning because he put so much thought and love into it! Keep up the good work!
  10. Hi Dominiqueamber! Loved reading your blog, looking forward to more updates! Love your ring, very unique which I love. I didn't go with my fiancé to pick my ring, he did it on his own. I must say he did a pretty good job! Oh and that pic of that bride....Yikes!!
  11. They turned out great! Thank you so much for posting the instructions along with the pictures. I'm going to attempt to do this on the weekend..you've made it look so easy!
  12. Hey Beachbum21! Take a deep breathe and you will see it will all come together. Just imagine the drink in your hand, the warmth of the sun, the great friends & family by your side and the best for last your prince charming waiting for you at the end of the aisle! Wishing you all the best on your big day
  13. Chanel, I'm telling you, I looked forward to an update daily on your thread since you started this one! I truly wish you all the best on your big day and I can't wait to see the end result. Blessings to you and your husband to be
  14. That's wonderful Krysta lee ann! All the best to you and wishing you and the hubby-to-be a beautiful wedding. So happy for you and can't wait to see the pics and review! Thanks for the tip with Sunwing, I honestly didn't know that there was such a program.
  15. Hi Ikterry and congratulations! I'm getting married as well in October (6th) at 3pm which I thought worked best. The sun won't be as hot and my guest will hopefully be a little more comfortable. We did some searching for photographers including the onsite photographer and offside as well as bringing one down with us. In the end we're bringing our photographer and that's because we really love his work and the comfort level is there. He'll be with us for 3 days which is great so we can do the TTD session. But by no means am I saying this is a better choice because the work of the other's we were considering was great. I did receive price list from 4 I believe; if you like I can email to you as I should still have them in my email. PM me your email if you'd like them! Also for the time of day, I'd say go with what works best for you. I liked the time of day because dinner would be served around 6:30 so my guest could go and have a drink or two or go and freshen up. I may have to take a few pics with the FI before the ceremony depending on how quickly the sun sets but I'm cool with that! Sorry about all this chatter but like me know if you'd like the price lists! Happy planning!
  16. Hi! The email address is [email protected] and the wedding coordinator is Keisha. Hope this helps
  17. Chanel, girl you look HOT in your dress, absolutely stunning! I can't wait for your final review to see pictures of everything together. Wishing you all the best on your big day!
  18. Congrats to you and your hubby! Wonderful planning thread; thanks for sharing with us all. May I ask where you had gotten the bouquet holder? Its gorgeous
  19. Hi Chanel! They have arrived through the mail, lol! I just wanted to thank you again for the fuchsia organza bags! They are absolutely perfect; I'm in love with this color Take care and Happy Planning
  20. It really does start to add up! If you want the dj and sound system that's $300 per hour. I'm bringing down the chair sashes but will get the chairs covers from the resort. Did Keisha provide you with the current price list? Let me know and I can give you a copy if you don't have it.
  21. Thanks for the tip and I'll be sending them an email shortly as well as Jan's Flowers as it seems you received a much better response time from them. I'm not too sure if I missed it somewhere but would I be able to have Jan's email address? Are you using them for your floral arrangement for ceremony and reception? I'm just curious do they set everything up or will this have to be done by a family member/friend? I think our wedding date is going to be a very lucky one! You're I believe the 3rd person who's birthday is that date or it's their anniversary! To answer you question, I was just at this resort in November and the beach party started around 8pm on the Saturday and I'm guessing this still hasn't changed. Now I don't know the exact time it ended but when we were heading back to our room around 1030 or so, the party was still happening! It was a lot of fun. The use the beach chairs for seating and circled it around. They had dance competition, games for men and women, they even got the little kids involved which was nice and at the end, the entertainment staff had the guest doing the limbo dance! I hope this helps!
  22. Hi Chanel, I hope all is well! I'm intersted in the fuschia organza bags. I'm located in Brampton Ontario (46 Yellow Brick Road, Brampton Ontario L6V 4K9 Canada). Can you let me know the total with shipping? I do have a paypal account, which I think will be faster for payment. Take care and look forward to hearing from you Janice
