  1. well, my FI isn't the most petite person! He's on the short side - 5'6 and just shy of 200 lbs. He did buy a size up in pants, but there were other sizes bigger. It's worth at least checking out. When I was searching online, many places had light weight wool, which I wasn't keen on. It saved us a trip across the border.
  2. Absolutely! I can't wait til it gets here! http://www.etsy.com/people/mudcards
  3. ladies, was at my local Homesense tonight and picked up a couple of 1L football bubbas for $6.99! just thought I'd share.
  4. Be well prepared ladies! I thought I had the final numbers, but apparently, I'm having some last minute bookers..like another 5 or 6 couples! Eeeeekk!!
  5. that's a nice option, to have one group reservation. maybe I should find out if the Riu does that. Love the way you think!
  6. Is it me, or my computer? I can't pull up any of the pictures (at work). I would be interested to see what the clear plastic wallets and tip holders look like. Wish my colours were orange and blue though, the luggage tags would be fantastic also
  7. thanks for the tip Manda, apparently, my FI was in there today, and didn't see them on sale....hmmmm..
  8. Oooooo...for the ladies still looking for their FI's suite...just picked one up from Le Chateau, like others have mentioned. He was a total non-believer, had to practically drag him into the store, big baby! We were going to go with light grey linen, hoping that we could find on, they had a charcoal linen suit that will look fantastic with the lavender burberry tie. Unfortunately, not on sale, $175 for the blazer and $90 for the pants...but, times-a-tickin' and we're afraid we wouldn't find one. Check it out ladies, but be warned, we did go to 2 different stores to get the sizes...big surprise!
  9. its gorgeous Janet!! I love the skirt!
  10. thanks! Hmmm...I somehow always bypass Walmart, because we have it here now...gotta love cross border shopping!
  11. nope. because, I think it's true...you know when it's right!
  12. I went for the upgrade! Bought the app the other day, but haven't tested it out yet. I will keep you all updated.
  13. Congrats! Where are the pics??
  14. start emailing the resorts you are interested in. I think that's the best place to start, they will send you their price lists, menus, etc. happy planning!
  15. Ladies, I just received a pic of mine...please share your thoughts!
  16. Great job!! I never even thought to go to Dollar Tree...duhhh...just another excuse to cross the border! But, I have been to Big Lots before, it's an odd mish mash of stuff, but perfect for our bags! I can't believe the price of the bubba kegs! was that a sale price or regular price?
  17. Ohhh...I'm so happy that you are getting somewhere with Divi. I felt the same way about leaving the Westin, I had invested about 2 months worth of work. We were originally planning on staying at the Westin, not all-inclusive, but our TA found us a fantastic deal for the Riu, which we couldn't resist. Unfortunately, the Riu has many stipulations to have a wedding there, including a % of your guests need to be staying there. No worries, I felt like it was a bit of a wedding factory, just churning them out. So, as it turns out, we are not staying at the Westin at all, at this time, but are considering staying there on our wedding night, just to be away from everyone! ha! Please keep me posted. Have fun! And yes, my day is fast approaching, but I feel less stressed now that the wedding stuff is almost sorted.
  18. I honestly loved what the Divi offered...the buffet was fantastic, lotsa food! I did read a review online somewhere about someone that had their wedding at the Divi, she loved it, and the planner. Honestly, is they had gotten back to me, I would've booked there. But, now that I have finally booked, I don't care where it is, you just need to make a decision. Good luck!
  19. Great idea. To be honest, hand delivering has been pretty nice, so far of 75 invites, 10 are already out, and another 4 more tomorrow..it may take a while, but they'll get out.
  20. I emailed all of the pics, including one of my dress on june 3, she said that I would hear from her by the end of June, the only thing, it's shipping from Tel Aviv, but I told her I needed it for the end of Aug, and she was confident that it would be done, she said 2-3 weeks for shipping. It was reasonably priced too, $65 for the couple, extra for the dog + shipping. I don't own one, so I wasn't worried. Her terms are fantastic also, she doesn't require a deposit, she sends pics and if you like it she posts it on Etsy for you to purchase. Try searching mudcards. Btw, this isn't my topper, but it is definitely the inspiration!
  21. OMG!! We're getting married on the same day!!! Yayyyy! How's the planning?
  22. FYI, I didn't end up going with the room block, we were able to get a much better deal with our TA. I am still having the wedding at the Westin, but we are all staying at the RIU. Don't stress over it.
