These are the invitations that I wanted but because we are inviting close to 90 guests they were a bit out of our budget...I am attempting to replicating them! I think the hardest part will be the Etching I had stencil made and am using etching cream Fingers crossed!

Hey ladies! I did these myself and it was my first DYI project! I got the template and instructions from aylee-bits and the picture online. I also got the personalized seals from Oriental Trading for super cheap. I attached our engagement magnet to the front with glue dots from office depot....this was a nice little detail and easy to use. The magnets I bought were through fullcolormagnetsusa.com I found that they were cheaper than Vista for a larger magnet. WARNING!!! this project was VERY time consuming (I made 87 with three pages) and not as cheap as I had thought. If you are ok with a more generic version through one of the websites than go for it! I got so many compliments but it was bitter sweet that not many realized they were hand made! hope you like....sorry the pics are a bit blurry =(

I love pink....but we are getting married on the beach and my invitations that i want to do are super beachy so of course feel like i need to incorporate blue now i ? is would it be too much to add silver/grey in the mix so it doesn't seem like a baby shower?

I have my conf. number and date saved for march 2,2012 but they haven't sent meeh any info....so I'm basically in the dark about anything that isn't already on their website! i want to get started on my save the dates but I don't want to get them all done (I'm DIY boarding passes!!) and then have something not work out =( how long before your date did you actually get to talk to someone.....? Also i think that the "free" for 25 rooms booked is that you get a free unlimited event and a room upgrade and i think 7 days free....the wedding is complimentary if you stay there 7 days too or you can upgrade to other packages.....we decided on saving the money for a private event....hoping to get enough people so that we don't have to even do that!!! I'm so stoked and it sucks because its over a year away and flights ain't even out yet! I'm such a planner that it is driving meeh nuts I'm on hold here! BTW i think the grand opening was yesterday! be interesting to see if the reviews get better soon! soft openings are hard to judge..... keep meeh posted girl!!!

Thanks Jhern for the info! We have decided to take a chance on the HRH everyone that i have shown the resort to has really liked it and the more places i look at the more we are convinced that it's ther perfect place for us and our guest. We saved a date there for March 2nd 2012!!!!

We really are having the same dilemma! Please keep me posted on how everything goes if you do decide to book at the HRH! I look frequently at the new reviews....i feel that it is highly possible that they just had a rough soft opening in November and that all the kinks will be ironed out by the time i expect to go in March '12! I did notice that alot of the bad reviews seemed to be from some snobby people bragging about all the am zing places they have traveled...I'm just a simple girl from Cali looking to have a good time and have a beautiful wedding! It would be easier if more of the reviews were about actual wedding events rather than contradicting reviews on everything from the decor! please keep meeh posted i don't have to book the wedding for another couple months due to travel info restrictions!! thanks!

It's so weird i've been reading all these reviews about it, and the more i read the more i become confused =( I keep being drawn back to it though so something tells meeh i should just go for it. I don't wanna make a rash decision though because this is a very important day. Been reading up on Dreams in punta cana as well seems a bit less pricey for guests but also doesnt look as fun as HRH....Tavel Agent we were referred to doesn't know all that much about it either she was told it was a "concrete jungle" It just seems so our vibe where as all other resorts seem dull in comparison! We are not just limited to DR i was actually trying to stray away from DR due to language barrier and the fact that my fiance's buddy got married in DR a few years ago....but the HRH drew me in.....Do i listen to the reviews or my gut?! help!!

Hey ladies! My fiance and i have been looking around online for the perfect resort for our special day and we ran across the hard rock! It looks really nice and the wedding packages seem like the best for the money that we have seen. We may have a larger group and the hotel seems large enough to accomodate out sometimes rowdy group. has anyone had any experiance with this resort? Also any other good hotels i should be aware of in the caribbean that would be good for a larger group (25-40 guests) Was looking into sandals as well but they seem like they may be a little more pricey for our guests.... Any help would be appreciated greatly!
