Hi Ladies! We have officially booked our Barccelo Maya wedding with Juan Navarro Photography! Juan has been such a pleasure to work with! He responds to emails in a timely maner, always answers all of my questions, and has a great price for the brides who are on a budget but still want to have amazing photo journalistic pictures! I fall inlove with his work everytime I see it! I love his picture blog...I know there have been a few past brides who have used him and have had nothing but great things to say about him. I am so relieved to have my photographer booked! This was the last big item on my checklist!! Now moving on to finish up my invites and the million little details! YAY!!

Okay, I've seen a lot of other date threads around but didn't see one of these...apologies if I missed one. I thought it would be great to have a thread for those planning on getting married in Aug. 2011. So post your dates and locations and anything else! I'm sure there will be more August 2011 people in a few months, but there must be a few of us on here now!

yes you do have to stay at the Palace, we had the same issue so me and my FI booked the Palace even though it was so much more expensive, I just really wanted the gazebo

Hey Cara I'm getting married at the Palace as well and have booked the gazebo, I'm glad that you mentioned that we can change our minds when we get there, I am so excited and I hope that I love the gazebo caus I had my heart set on that location.

ok if my first advice is a little to drastic, then I would call and speak to a manager! Managers are way more accomadating because they have better customer service skills and really want your business, way more than reps. try that I'm almost sure that's your best bet!!! Good luck

that's so crazy, if I were you I would just bring it, I think that the stewardess would be way more accomadating, after all just use some old fashion tears, no one wants to see a bride cry,

I wish you both the best..are you having something for when you return, like maybe you can throw a small party to show your wedding video, and have some fun with your loved ones...P.s some sites have last min. deals so don't give up hope...what about your moms dads...brothers sister? they haven't book either?

I understand what you mean, I gave my guest 1 year notice to pay/book their trip...and nothing, so I beacame proactive and called the people I really wanted to go and told them to give a deposit to the airline ( for group air) once people give up money they automactically want to get off their butts and book their trip!!!!

I am so sorry to hear that, I had the same problem with my guest so I actually had to (flipping) become a "travel agent" and call people and say ok the prices are such and such give me your desposit by next week pay off your trip in 3 months. lol my FI is the same way, he thinks I am obsessed with the wedding planning so I said ok you do it, lol after that I never heard another complaint! lol

I ask my WC to arrange a rehersal dinner, we will do a quick run through then have dinner, to thank everyone and hand out the gifts!!! so excited

2011 is here OMG It is going so fast my wedding is in August, I've been engaged for over a year and I can't wait!!!!!!!!! Congrats all your 2011 Brides!!!!!

I have 93 guest and counting that are coming with us to celebrate our marrige at the Barcelo Maya Resort in Mexico. With so many guest I am feeling overwhelmed, past and future brides how did you manage...OOT bags? Favors? Meeting up? etc. Tell it all!!!!! Post number of guest attending, hotel and your planning experience!
