Totally, totally worth it. The reception goes by SO fast, we had the extra hour and almost wished we had booked 2 extra hours. I definitely suggest doing it. We had around 50 people, so I know the cost stinks but they really get the crowd going and you will have a great time.

I didn't realize there were 2 different sizes. We had 46 guests, not including us, and the standard size was good for us. As you can see, at some points, people would dance around the dance floor instead of on it, too.

Saw there are some new faces, so I wanted to repost all of my information about ordering from Studio Suits.

I had a playlist and I gave my WC the list of what I wanted played when... worked out totally fine! I did 1 song for while everyone was getting seated, 1 song for my MOH (she was my only bridal party person), 1 song for my dad and I to walk down the aisle, and then 1 song for DH & I to walk back down the aisle afterwards.

I did mine through the resort, and did DH's suit, as well.

I got a list from my travel agent of when everyone's flight would be coming in and we greeted them in the lobby. Thankfully, most of our guests were only spread across 5 or 6 flights, and they ended up in 4 or 5 groups.

His photobooks are stunning. It is absolutely amazing how he puts them together and the quality is unbeatable. I wish I had ordered more of them! Also, I'm in NJ and we were hit by Hurricane Sandy. Last night, I got a message from Juan asking how we made out with the hurricane, that he was worried about us, and asking if there was anything he could do. I was SO touched by him sending that message, it really speaks to his character. Plus, he's an awesome photographer.

I believe they prefer you to use an iPod. I remember bringing a CD and an iPod and my WC wanted to use the iPod. I just made a playlist for the ceremony and a playlist for cocktail hour. She took notes of what songs in what order for the ceremony, and there was someone there who operated it for us during the ceremony. She would radio to them when we were ready to walk out, etc so they knew to switch the song. For cocktail hour, I believe they just set it up to play (we were off getting pictures done). Something I did was for the cocktail hour playlist, I put every couple's "song" on there, and since the wedding, I have seen pictures of people dancing with their significant other during cocktail hour to their song. <3

We used it for both my dress and DH's suit. When we checked in, I reminded them, as we had already set up a pick up time for the people to pick it up. The hotel's staff will pick up your stuff and they will tell you it will take 24 hours. We ran into an issue where they didn't deliver the stuff when they said they would, so my WC handled it. We ended up getting the stuff back a couple of hours later (they send the stuff off-site), and we just had to be in the room when they did pick-up & drop-off. They did a great job! No complaints!

Not really sure - our guys all wore collared button-down shirts or polo shirts. Sorry, I didn't really notice. If you go to my review of the Royal, I have pics of several of my girls who had hair or makeup done there. None of them even brought pics and loved how their hair and makeup were done! Gorgeous! They did a nice job!!

They are very strict about the men and the closed toe shoe thing. They could be sneakers or something totally casual, but they must be closed-toe for the men. Women could really get away with most anything, although we typically wore sundresses and flat sandals.

I think his pricing depends alot on what's in season and what isn't. I know there's a thread around here that tells you what flowers are in season in Mexico in each month. Also, maybe research the specific types of flowers you want and tell him those? Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I had a few girls get their makeup done there, and they all just used the spa's makeup. I have pictures of how their makeup turned out in my review.

The area right in front of the swim-up bar is usually pretty bubbling with activity in the afternoon. They play music and the entertainment staff is out doing stuff.
