I agree I do not like the ones you have to cradle. But I really want calla lillies and that seems to be the bouquet you cradle, hopefully they can do calla lilly bouquet that I can hold normally. Also, I need suggestions... I asked for white callas with pink accents... which flowers do you think will go good with callas?

Okay so myself and my wedding planner have been emailing arrecife and not getting a clear answer back. when the manager finally emailed me (we were inquiring about booking the video of ceremony) he told me they could do video service from 2pm of me getting ready, the ceremony and photo session "behind the scenes" with a 5% discount it'd be $700USD!!!!!! Are you effin crazy?! That's not what I want nor what I was orignally told. I emailed him back and said I ONLY want a video/DVD of the ceremony and was quoted before at $400USD. and asked if he could honor that price and JUST film the ceremony to show our friends and family at home. he hasn't gotten back to me yet (i realize their busy and take awhile-- it is mexico afterall ha ha) but will they let me just book it in person when I get down there on Oct 28th?? Or do i need to book in advance? i just feel like explaining in person will be much easier than emailing back and forth and not getting a clear answer outta them. Also, I DO NOT want to pay 700 bucks for a video when I only want like 25 min of coverage not 3 or 4 hours whatever it was, I was only expecting to pay 400!!! grrr! please if any of you did the video let me know how much it was and what they covered, and can i wait til oct 28 to book it in person?? [my wedding is nov 2nd] thanks!!!

I have a question about the golfing there! My TA/wedding planner got told that if you stay in the royal golden section of the akumal then your green fees are included you just pay $65 for golf cart. What about if you are staying at the tulum or coba? whats included for golf for them? or is it not included for them?

Oh good! I am wondering what our luggage limit is for our airline. we booked online contintental website but are flying with united airlines. I'm hoping I can fit all my stuff in my suitcase and my fiances, then little stuff in my carry on. Luckily, my parents are taking my wedding dress with them when they go a week earlier.

I'm bringing my own down. they don't let you use outside photographers but they can't stop a "guest" from taking photos. as long as their booked at the resort their a guest!

Jemma- That I do know, it will take 3 months. So 3 months after your wedding you will receive the certificate in the mail, unfortunatly. I just have no freakin clue about the translating ordeal. Hope someone can help us!!!

Sorry, girls I have another question!! For those of you who got married legally there... Were you able to get the marriage certificate/license translated into english? If so, did it cost you money and how much? Were they able to do it in Mexic? Did you have to get it done at home? I'm confused becase I was told if I paid $20 USD, they would translate the certificate into english after its apostilled etc. But now I'm being told they do not do that at all... Well how on earth am I going to be able to change my name when I get it in the mail if its in spanish?? I heard it's very difficult to change your name when a certificate is in another language... Somebody please clarify what it is I have to do or how much it'll cost me lol pleeeeaassse !!!

HAMMOCK LOCATION BRIDES.... I'm taking down my own fabric to be out up at the hammocks for extra color. My wedding planner here told me she heard that they charge you extra for decorating the hammock wooden things with fabric. I explained I'm bringing my own fabric, I don't see why they would charge me to put it up. Did any of you bring your own fabric down and get charged for having it put up? Thanks!!

Andrea2006- I am staying at the Akumal and booked for 10 days. Oct 28- Nov 7. what we did was our travel agent booked us for 10 nights "land only" price which she got $1129.00 per person flat rate no taxes. then my fiance and I went online and look for a flight seperatly as our tour operator would only book 7 nights and 14 nights... So we booked through contintental airlines online and our flight is Leaving vancouver Oct 27 at 7:15pm arrive in SanFran @ 925pm leave there at 12:05am arrive in Houston @ 5:51am leave there @ 9am arrive in Cancun @ 11:15am Oct 28. LOL gonna be a long night! Then on the way back we only stop in houston and get to vancouver late nov 7th. We ended up paying only $1663.00 CAD for both of us together when it was listed as $1890 USD. woooo!

Ahhh ladies I get married in exactly 5 months!!! Exciting!!! Anyways I do have a question... I've been thinking about music for the ceremony and I'm putting songs on a CD but how many songs actually get played? Here is what I was going to do... Song #1 (When guests arrive to ceremony site) - 1,2,3 by Bruno Mars Song #2 (Wedding party walk down aisle) - Soul Sista by Train Song #3 (Bride walk) - I'm Yours by Jason Mraz Song #4 (Signing registry) - Marry You by Bruno Mars Song #5 (Recessional) - Undecided because..... I am not sure if they will play the same song for recessional and the champange toast with everyone or will they play one song for recessional and a different song for toasting? Thanks guys
