I am still struggling with losing pounds, BUT went shopping with my mom this weekend and I bought two dresses a size smaller than usual and I thought I looked pretty good in them. AND I went for my dress fitting, and she had to take a bunch in. And overheard my FI telling his mom on the phone that my working out has been paying off, best compliment ever! SO we go back to: throw away the scale! It's all about how you feel and look Have a great day everyone!

Hi Ladies, I just ordered the swatches and getting ready to put in the order for my FI once we decide on the color. I have a question regarding the measurements for those of you who ordered already. Are we taking measurements of the actual body or what we want the suite to be? For example: for the thighs: Do I measure the actual diameter of his thigh or how wide we want the pants to be? The same for us. Music was a big deal. It's really up to you guys. Are you OK with walking down the aisle with no music? Which package do you have? The trio should be included. We actually asked to replace the trio with a Spanish guitarist because my FI hates mariachi bands for some unknown reason! We also have hired DJ Riccardo for the ceremony and reception. We actually are moving the ceremony to the ballroom 10:30 PM-2 AM to continue the party. But that is only because our friends like to PARTY! Think about what the two of you like and that would be great

Hi Sharon, welcome to the forum. The good thing about destination weddings is that you can make it as simple or as complicated as you'd like! If you are not too picky about colors, flowers, decoration, etc. you can leave all of that up to your coordinator. My only advise is to pick the items that are important to you. Mine was music, food and drinks! So I spent some time clearing all of that with my coordinator. Also travel brochures are really useful for your guests to plan their trip. My thought process that people are going out of their way to come to Mexico and attend my wedding, so I want to make sure they have a great time. There are some good examples on the forum. One of my bride's maids and oldest friends who was coming from Germany had to cancel her trip because she had a death in the family. I am really sad but totally understand that she can't come. Now I have 5 guys and 4 girls. To make things worse, I had to push my FI to ask one of his friends, who he is not very close with, to be a groomsman so we can have matching numbers. I know it is not a big deal, but I am bummed out

My FI and I have been going to Hollywood Tans. We love it. Stand-up booths and only 5-8 minutes every time.

Hi Tisha, I used to work at the Christian Dior makeup counter in Macy's. I met one of my closest friends there who is an excellent makeup artist. She will be doing my makeup since she is coming for the wedding But my MOH had a MAC makeup artist for her wedding and she looked amazing! Try their fake lashes ... They look phenomenal. Also try Chanel makeup artist as well. They hire only the best! Good luck and have fun!

My makeup trial went really well. Now I have to decide on the lip color. My FI requested "not too pink" . LOL. I have started my personalized luggage tag project. I have to make 30 tags with guests' name, address and phone number so it will take a while. But I love VistaPrint and I am sure my guests will appreciate a favor that they can use right away. Sandra Bullock was so funny in that movie
