  1. Hi ladies!!

I know how you feel Jamie.  I tell myself one thing and end up doing something different.

I Think - "Eat healthy, workout daily, less than 2 weeks left, I CAN DO THIS!!"

I Do - "Ate horrible last few days, didn't work out yesterday, think to myself the dress will cover everything - it's not like I need to wear a bikini like last time LOL, and just say F it - I already put in the hard work for the wedding vacation"

Then I wake up the next day mad at myself for doing what I did and tell myself back at it again today - then the next day comes along and I do the same thing as before.  What a vicious cycle LMAO!!

So unfortunately I am not very motivating to others right now....

But I can tell you all to stick with it and know that each day you do push play gets you one step closer to your goal and that awesome bikini body!!!

  2. Wow I sure have missed a lot in the past few days.  For those newer brides you can also take a look at my photos.

  3. Bride2012 you look awesome and I love VS bikinis....great choice!!

For those of you who have gained weight also keep in mind that when you workout and you use your muscles they get full of liquid, water, lactic acid, etc.

    (taken from a website)

When you start doing more exercise, your body begins storing more fuel in your muscle cells, where it can be used easily and quickly to fuel your workouts. The process of converting glucose (carbohydrates) into fuel that your muscles actually store and use (glycogen) requires three molecules of water for every molecule of glucose. As your muscles are building up glycogen stores, your body has to retain extra water for this purpose. That's what causes most of the initial weight gain or lack of weight loss. This is a good thing—not something to worry about.

However, despite what the scale says, you are actually losing fat during this time. The extra water retention will stop once your body has adjusted to its new activity level. At that point, the scale should start moving down. You'll end up with less fat, and muscles that can handle a larger amount of work.

For me its especially my legs that do this.  When I train legs they swell up so bad for a few days.  Pants and jeans are always tighter in the thigh area during that time which sucks but I know what it is and I am back to normal in a few days.  And then I do it all over again LOL.  So don't get discouraged if your not seeing the scale move.  Just stop weighing yourself altogether because it's not like a certain number on the scale will mean you look hot in your dress/bikini.  What matters is the measuring tape and what you see in the mirror.  That is what will show you progress.

    Keep at it ladies!!!

  4. Yup that's them!!  Thanks for posting for me.

  5. Just like Jessica said they will sub out the flowers for something else.  I had them make two smaller bouquets for my BMs.  Here are the photos!!

    2. If I bring my own/order from Sharon, will they sub out my bouquet/his bout for a ceremony table arrangement or aisle arrangement?

    Thanks! :)

PS. Just got my (Miami based) coordinator assigned - Renee Foreman! Apparently you get your resort coordinator approx. 30 days prior to your wedding date...

  6. Great job ladies!!  Cardio Recovery is such a nice mix up from the normal stuff.

Ana - you will see and feel results in 2 weeks.  4 weeks will be perfect.  U'll be one month in and have a good idea of how your body is changing.  Hope the dress fitting goes well.  Keep it up!!

Reading this thread has motivated me a lot! Thank you!

I gained some weight and not sure I will fit in my weding dress anymore since I ordered it a while ago and was supposed to be very tight at that time :) I am picking it up in 4 weeks and hope insanity will help me fit into it :)

Keep these messages coming! Makes me want to go work out!

  7. Great job Jamie!!  Posting your numbers is a great way to show others that so many changes can me made in just 2 short weeks.  Awesome job on the push-ups.  That has to be one of the biggest improvements!!  WOOHOO!!!

I was supposed to do the fit test yesterday but....I just couldn't do it, as I just said above my body was just too tired.  I actually got so upset with myself, though!  HA!!!  So, that's motivation to keep at it.

Anyways...I did the fit test tonight. I have not seen any physical results but whoa!!! my stamina and cardiovascular has improved so much.

    1.  Switch Kicks  40    55

    2.  Power Jack    37    47

    3.  Power Knees  71   93

    4.  Power Jumps  14   28

    5.  Globe Jumps   3     8

    6.  Suicide Jumps 5    14

    7.  Push up Jacks (I had to do knee push ups the first time and only got 17)  Today I did 12 actual push-up jacks  YAY!!!

    8.  Low Plank Oblique  23   28

So, I hope that helps you ladies with motivation somewhat!!!  Keep it up!!!

  8. Thanks hun!!  I actually do feel fine and I think that is the reason I'm slacking a bit.  The results of Insanity sure do stick around a while just like kellygrrrl said which is why I find myself often saying "its ok if I don't workout today...I'll do it tomorrow"  way too often LOL!!

How are you doing Jamie??  How was your second fit test?  Improvement right??  ;)

  9. Thanks hun!!  I've been doing weights, cycle, sprints and some other stuff but I never feel as good as I do after I do Insanity.  So I hope to keep it part of my weekly routine moving forward.  I just need to be more consistent ever week with whatever physical activity I decide to do.  Consistency is key and that is why I feel I've been slacking off.

    Thanks for posting your experience.

I weighed the same as when I stopped for awhile, though I'm not sure if I stayed in shape (cardiovascularly) that entire time. either way, you should be fine for your AHR, even if you stopped today (not that you want to, just in case ; ).

  10. Wow!! All you ladies seem so motivated and energized!!  I LOVE IT!!!

To update you new ladies...my wedding is about 2 months past but my AHR is in a few weeks.  I finished Insanity before the wedding and felt amazing so I was planing on doing Insanity again to get me back to where I was....but I just haven't been as motivated.  Its kinda easier knowing I no longer have to walk around in a bikini in front of friends and family LOL.  The dress covers everything pretty much.  But I am still being active...just not as active as I had hoped.  I skip every day or two so I really need to kick it up a notch.

So even though I've been there and done that and motivated others in the past....you guys are now motivating me.  I love this board so much!!

Probably doing Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs tonight!!!

Keep up all the hard work ladies!!  The results will start to show after 1-2 weeks.  Its awesome!!!

  11. Amazing results!!!  What an accomplishment.  You must be so proud of yourself.  msnwink.gif

I didn't starve myself at all this time and I followed the exercise program I was given and it worked like a charm! 12. Yes it is officially Hard Rock as of Jan 2012.  I haven't heard much since the official announcement and the vacation share presentation we went to while we were on our honeymoon.  I believe they will start making changes this year.  I really hope all the future brides are not affected much, if at all.  It is such a beautiful place and I hope it doesn't lose its charm.

  13. I was lucky enough to have a bridesmaid who is a professional makeup artist and she did my make-up and the eyes on all the girls.  We all looked beautiful.

The spa can do your makeup and hair at the salon if you want them too.

  14. Right here!!  Same as you - lacto-ovo.  I didn't follow the meal plan exactly.  I eat pretty healthy all the time so I just stuck with my normal meals.  In the back of the booklet I believe it shows you what you can substitute in for things you may not like or eat.  For the protein I believe it listed tofu and beans as options for us veggies.  That is pretty much what I eat all the time anyways which is why it wasn't much different for me.  I would also recommend lots of extra protein supplement.  If you do take Shakeology it does not have enough protein so I would definitely add some in or make sure you take 1-2 shakes a day.  If you do soy I'd recommend adding in soy milk to the shake since it has more protein as well.

I am not a nutritionist by any means but I've been a veggie pretty much all my life and I've always been very active so I know how important protein is.  Hope this helps a little!!

  15. Glad you like them.  They worked great for me.

I thought there were different lengths??  Maybe I am mistaken.  But I bet they can figure something out.  Maybe fold it or pin it if necessary.  :)

sxct..I was asking about the length because the runners are very long. You had long tables which seemed to work out better but I think we are having round tables so I'll have to figure something out

  16. I may have a suggestion...

Once we walked out of the gazebo they handed us and all our guests so champagne.  I'd say use the set you don't really like for that and use the set you really do like at your table for the rest of the evening.  That way both are used and no one gets their feelings hurt.

I dont want to hurt anyone feelings so I suppose I will try to use both sets...maybe do one toast in the beginning of the night with the set I dont like and then use the others for the rest of the night.

  17. Congrats on your soon-to-be marriage and for picking such a wonderful location!!

Do not stress about not being in contact with your wedding coordinator.  You can get about 95% of all the info you could possibly need from this thread.  Plus your wedding coordinator may change throughout the planning process so it really doesn't matter too much.  Just have your list of everything you know you want/dont want and be ready to supply it when the time comes.

    Good Luck with your planning!!

Congratulations to all of the brides on here, happy planning!!

  18. Welcome!!  And great choice on choosing Insanity.

Like you, I am a sugar freak but once you start these workouts and see how much hard work you put in "usually" you have no desire to chow down on some nasty sugary crap that will slow down your progress.  But you can also know that since you put in so much hard work a treat here or there will not set you back much if at all.  Please just don't read that as I can eat whatever I want because I do Insanity.  Food is about 80-85% of your results so make healthy wise choices to fuel your body while you are doing these intense workouts.

Good Luck and keep us all posted!!

My friend started doing it during her lunch hours at work with co-workers. She lost 10 lbs in a month so i decided to look it up and I finally bought the DVDs (still waiting for them). I thought it would be a great way to get in shape before my wedding and I would like to loose 15lbs. My wedding is in 10 months but I would like to get to my goal before May when I will be buying my dress. My fiancé is also looking foward to doing it. I am happy that i will be able to share my experience here and find some support :) I am having trouble with food though, I am a sugar freak and I have trouble controling my portions. I am lucky that I am not over weight but If I continue eating like I do, I will be. I am also someone that is quite active, but lost my motivation a couple of months ago. I don't feel like going to the gym no more, i find it gets boring so hopefully doing this at home will give me a boost. Looking foward on sharing my experience with all of you. :)
