I am getting all four of my ladies a simple necklace from Tiffany and co. I wanted to make sure it was something they would wear in the future! Not sure about the groomsmen ... but I think I might leave that up to my fiance!

I have about 50 people confirmed, but I have been buying about 40 of each item that I want to put into the bags. I want to accommodate for anybody who decides to book last minute ... worst case scenario, I will sell the extra stuff I have accumulated and/or give people extra items in their bags! Â I am doing one bag per couple, but I also have a lot of single people coming!

I just registered and am looking forward to this!

Thank you for posting this! Â I just realized that a few of my girlfriends will be flying with West Jet and I they will definitely be willing to bring down an extra suit case for me (each if/when necessary). I feel a LOT more at ease knowing that I don't have to worry about adhering to Sunwing's baggage allowance! Â The "NOT FOR RESALE" sign is going to be key in all of these bags for sure! Hopefully we don't have any problems getting things through customs!

I have thought about doing that, but I am concerned that if I ship them there, I won't see them ever again! I have heard horror stories of stuff going "missing" once it reaches the resort. Maybe this is my own paranoia?

Just be careful that your total weight allowance is not for each suit case. For example: with Sunwing, they allow 25kg for a combined weight of 2 checked bags and carry-on's! Â I think this might be different if you are flying with a different airline though ... Sunwing is kind of stringent on this kind of stuff!

  Thank you! Good point- I was also worried about the "party/hangover" kits- if I put pills in little baggies, even tho it is excedrine and advil, won't that look a little shady? And with about 100 guests, even shadier?? lol   Yea I am wondering the same thing .... I have lots of different pills (Immodium, Gravol, Pepto, Advil, multivitamins) for almost 60 people. How do you explain that as bridal decortaions? ... "We like pills ... so we thought we would decorate our wedding tables in them" Â

My mom actually saw my collection of "things to bring to Mexico" today and freaked out a bit. She is concerned that we are going to exceed the aircrafts weight allotment! Â Has anyone ever been stopped at Mexican customs and told that they could not bring things into the country for their OOT bags?

I also got these exact same bags for my guests (45 of them). They are quite heavy and I am concerned about how I will get them to Mexico. Any suggestions?

  I found playing cards for cheap (3 packs for $1 at an Everything for a Dollar Store in Mississauga - Mavis and the 401) if you are in the GTA area! I had already bought my cards from the Dollar tree in the states for 2 for a dollar and was bummed when I saw them for cheaper in Canada! Â

I found cute beach totes at dollarama ($2 each) but they are pretty big. I plan on filling them with lots of goodies, but it may be difficult. I also got beach towels at Dollarama ($2 each). They aren't the best quality, but they will do for my purposes! Â The rest of my stuff I have ordered online through Amazon.com (You can find good deals for things like Aloe lotion and gel) Â I also decided to put DVD's in each bag with wedding themes (My best friends wedding, the wedding planner, maid in manhattan, wedding crashers, my big fat greek wedding, FRIENDS - The one with all the weddings, Just Friends, My Girl, 50 First Dates, Meet the Parentsetc.) which I think will come in handy should their be a rainy day and/or a lazy night! People can swap movies if they would like a variety! Â I also went across the border to Buffalo to go shopping at Target and the Dollar tree and found a tonne of stuff for $1 each (Shout wipes, listerine, Mini bottles of OFF!, wet ones, playing cards, loofahs, tums, advil, Johnson's first aid kits) Â I got 10 packs of KLEENEX brand Kleenex for $2 at dollarama. Â I am putting about 10 disposable waterproof cameras in various peoples bags who I think will take pictures of multiple people to share! Â I bought beach toys for the kids that are coming and am including a beach themed book for them as well. Â I went to Chinatown in Toronto and found a great deal on white umbrellas as well as Pashminas for the women for the reception. Â I think that is about everything for now! Keep the ideas coming! 4 months left!

Hi all, Â I was just wondering how other brides out there plan on getting all of these items to their destination? I have been collecting various items and it looks like it is going to be A LOT of stuff that I need to take with me. I recently found out that the weight restrictions for luggage for Sunwing does not allow for much leeway when it comes to additional weight per suit case. I am planning on giving each member of my family a carry-on, but I think I might need to give them A LOT of stuff. Any suggestions? Â Thanks, Â Melissa

I am not actually from Atlantic Canada, but I am marrying a Newfoundlander? Does that count? haha His family is flying to Mexico (Dreams Riviera Cancun) and we are soo excited!

Question for any brides already married at Dreams Riviera Cancun: I really like the chairs that they use in the picture on their website (without the white chair covers - natural wood colour with pink and white chair sashes tied onto them), and I was wondering if those are available as an option at the resort? Most of the pictures I have seen are regular chairs with white chair covers over top of them, so I was wondering what the choices were. Also, how large should the table overlays be for the tables? I am going to buy my own and need to know what I will be looking at in terms of sizing! Thanks in advance!

Congratulations! I am sure you will love any place that you pick! I recently came back from a wedding at Dreams Punta Cana and it was beautiful (mind you, the guest rooms were a little bit dated, and not as modern as I had expected!)
