Thanks Amanda! I considered Paradise Island, but I found it to be pricey. I don't want my guests paying a ridiculous amount of money. I also have kids coming to the wedding does the Riu permit children?

I am a 2011 bride myself and I feel sooo overwhelmed because 2011 is right around the corner and I still have not picked a location yet. Our tentative date is October 9, 2011 and we want to have our wedding in the Bahamas, but I am open to other economically friendly locations. Any ideas from you other brides would be great!

Hi everyone! My name is Anthea and I am planning my DW for next October in the Bahamas. I am currently trying to pin down a venue and I am torn between Pelican Bay at Lucaya and Our Lucya Resort on Grand Bahama Island. At first I wanted to have my wedding in Nassau, but I could not find any hotels that I think will have affordable rates for all my guests. I am also confused in choosing wedding colors because it is a Fall wedding, but I will be in the Caribbean so I don't want to use colors that will be too dark. Ugh!! Any help on color schemes would be much appreciated! My fiance and I are very excited to be getting married in a tropical oasis with our close friends and family. Any help that any other Bahamas brides can give me would mean the world to me. I hope to do a site visit by the end of the year so whatever I find out I will definitely share with everyone! Thanks for all your help in advance!
