So I emailed Rocio yesterday about flowers, and changing the red carpet that is included in our package to rose petals (because I love that picture of yours Steph), and she is wonderful!! She told me not to stress on the flowers that we can do whatever we want (for the most part) when we get there and there was no problem with switching to the rose petals!! Yay!! I agree it is totally a personal choice. For us our witnesses would not have planned on being there so far in advance, so it would have really changed their travel plans. Plus, we are getting married the Firday after Easter so for some of the witnesses it wouldn't have been an option because of that holiday. So really it depends on your personal choice and what the legal requirements are in your home country. That was the other part for us. The US would not acknowledge the marriage in Mexico unless we sent the paperwork through the State Dept. or just got married back here anyway...so we figured it would be cheaper down there, and really easy here. So...just make sure you've looked at everything before you decide what to do!!

Monica, I just got a chance to look at your pictures... absolutely AMAZING! I would never have guessed you were sick... you are absolutely gorgeous!

We got legally married here in the States back in February, because it's easier to do than go through everything with the witnesses and the requirements of having to be down there 3 business days in advance.

It was so great, I was sitting here at my desk at work and my MOH called and was like, things are coming together (because I've had a BM who has decided to stress me out a little bit today), and she's like, are you good?? If not, tell me and I'll take care of whatever I need to take care of! She's wonderful! I am so thankful for her!! I'm a little less stressed about it. But another thing that has helped is...lists, I'm out of control with lists right now. It probably doesn't help that my orignal book of lists feel behind the couch the other night and instead of getting it, I just started a new set of lists!! Haha! Mocha, you need to tell work to back off!!! Haha, don't I wish that was what I could do?! Hopefully you don't have too much to do! Small things are okay...for the most part! Brandy, where did you get the chocolate shells?? Did you contact TK about the bags that you don't have, but were "delivered"?

I'm really pumped about it, especially with your stories! We didn't book Claudia, we were going to, but decided to bring our own photographer! We meet with her on Friday to go over expectations! She'll be down there for 2 nights and will get to photograph our days down there, as she will be "working" the whole time! Do you mind if I print off some of the pictures you've uploaded? I want to use a few of them as examples for our photographer. I have emailed Rocio about the possibility for more flowers...at least at the dinner site, though if it's jungle that will probably make for a good back drop too! I don't really have a preference between the water (La Laguna) or jungle (Gran Azul), so it works just fine that I'm doing it at Gran Azul! I know we do get an extra flower arrangement for the ceremony site with our package, so that will be cool! I wonder if we could move the flower arrangements from the ceremony site to the dinner location...I'll have to ask about that!

Steph, thank you SOOOOO much for everything you just provided! It's so great to hear that everything went well! I am so excited about going, we leave in two weeks!!!! I think the only thing I'm questioning right now is the flowers... I think I'm going to wish I could get more flowers when I'm there... Hmm... Either way, I'm glad your day was very special and woulded perfectly for you!! Thank you again for providing this information!!!

Brandy, I can't believe you have that many to do! I'd be a little freaked out! That's awesome that your MIL is going to do the decorating (with your help of course)! I'm glad you had a good time at yours too! I was just talking to my BM that I work with and she was saying that she was worried about it being too small, and I was just like, nope, it was absolutely perfect for me! Very enjoyable!! I do not leave until the 27th, so I have plenty of time to get rid of this...which is good because it usually takes me a good 3 weeks to kick anything! Tris, I'm glad you had a wonderful time! It looks like it was lots of fun!!

Big, I hope your day was wonderful as well!!! Coconoir, I'm glad things have gotten a little better since the talk FI had... I'm also glad to hear that she has accepted to be one of your BM! I really hope things continue to improve for you! My FI has 2 boys, and the youngest (12) can be a handful just by what he DOESN'T do...I have thought so many times in the last 3 1/2 years how happy I am that FI doesn't have any girls.... I couldn't imagine the added stress/pressure a girl would add because there is so much more that comes along there....

Sounds like everyone is really making progress and getting things done!!! Why does it seem like we are all getting sick before our wedding? I woke up Friday with a sore throat, but it went away about mid-day. Saturday, same thing... Sunday, I woke up with a stuffy nose. When I went to bed, I had all the cold symptoms... So, I'm kicking it's butt with cold and sinus meds, so I can get rid of it because if I don't, it will take me all the time before the wedding to get rid of it.

Tenny, your pictures are absolutely beautiful!! You looked stunning!! So, last night was my bachelorette party! It was a great time, and absolutely perfect (in my eyes....which is all that matters, right?!). My bridal party had it setup where I would meet them at one of their houses, and then we'd go do mani & pedi's and then go to dinner. When I got there it was a perfect group! It was my MOH and two BMs and then one other girl from work that I have gotten closer and closer to throughout the whole wedding prep, and she's one of the girls going to Mexico with us! They had decorated the BM's house with a bunch of stuff from my bridal shower, it was super cute! So, we went to get mani's and pedi's, and then went to one of the best places in the area to eat! I didn't get to pay for any (of course), and it was great. After having dinner and some drinks, we went back to the BM's house to pick up a few things that we'd forgotten and then went back to one of the places located "downtown" in the biggest city our little state has! It was a pretty neat place where you can order off their very unique drink menu (the place is called "Drink!" appropriately), and then they have a bunch of board/card games you can play while sitting in one of the booths, high tables, or couches with coffee tables. It was super cool! After that we went back to the BM's house and hung out...had some munches...and did karaoke! It was so much fun and as I said, absolutely perfect for me! It's not really my thing to go out drinking/dancing, so it totally worked for me! Here's one of the super fabulous pictures of me....holding my "Jolly Rancher Bomb"... sorry about the devil eyes! Oh, and the purple bracelet is my "penis" bracelet...it had a matching necklace!

Well, that was really quick... after my last message to her telling her that I was not happy and I found the situation unacceptable, she responded and said that her husband shipped them yesterday, but she doesn't have the tracking number as it is at home. She said that she was willing to give me a refund, but I'd have to receive them and send them back to her before getting my refund. At this point, I'm just going to keep them if they have shipped already. I did tell her to give me the tracking number ASAP. We'll see what happens. Greys, thank you for the offer, but your flip flops would be a little too big because I wear 8's. She did tell me that since she went back to work, she has been on the road and unable to do much... Well, wouldn't you think if you couldn't do much, you'd put that note on your page so people would be aware of that before ordering?! So frustrated!!!!
