Hi Amanda! I am getting married at Dreams Punta Cana in November. We are doing a beach ceremony. I am standing my ground on this one even though it seems that most people recommend the gazebo. I feel that one of my main reasons for having a destination wedding is so I can walk down the "aisle" barefoot in the sand. Also, we picked the biggest wedding package, The Ultimate. I am not using everything in the package but I wanted to go with the best. We are using the photographer provided by the resort. Our package only include 50 photos so I may decide to add more when I get there. Happy Planning!

Thanks girls! I have my ceremony location and reception location picked out and I have already confirmed once and plan on confirming a few more times. I just dont have any thing else chosen like table colors, centerpieces, flowers, etc. I just dont like not being able to picture what my wedding is going to look like.

To the girls who only have a month to go until their wedding: How much do you actually have planned with the wedding coordinator as of right now? Also, is the wedding coordinator more responsive the closer it gets? I have had pretty much all my questions answered so I am tyring to accept the fact that I will just wait until I get down there to finalize everything.

I'm trying to travel with as little as possible because I am afraid with three flights we will be missing something once we get there. I am planning on one carry on suit case that my faince can carry since I will have my dress. Then checking two big suit cases. We are going to NYC on the way back from the Carribean so we need winter clothes too (November wedding). I am hoping to give his mom and my mom stuff to take with them if need be. I'm stressed just thinking about it!

I'm so jealous of you girls who are only a month away. I am dying for the vacation more than the wedding!

Hi girls, I am not sure if you all know about this already but there is a Facebook page for Dreams Punta Cana Brides. You can view tons and tons of wedding pictures from DPC. Also I plan on taking samples of other peoples pictures with me to show the photographer poses I want. With only 50 pictures in my package I dont want to end up with a bunch of cheesy poses that I hate. Anyway if you dont already know about it and are interested just search "Dreams Punta Cana Brides" on FB. Also to Eliana, I just got an email from my WC a couple of weeks ago which includes the new table linens they offer. In my opinion they are way better than what they originally offered to me. Anyway in one of the pictures there is a table centerpiece my fiance and I really like. I am definitely not going to attempt traveling with centerpieces. I am trying to travel with as little as possible since we are going to NYC on the way back for a couple of nights which will require an extra suitcase of winter clothes! I'll email the picture to you shortly.

Eliana, The last time I emailed Carolina was a few weeks ago. Her assistant emailed me back saying that Carolina was on maternity leave. Her assistant answered my questions perfectly. She answered from Carolina's email too.

I am totally stealing your idea of numbers in the sand. Love them!!

Oops accidentally hit enter by accident! Anyway I am getting married at Dreams Punta Cana on November 13, 2010!!! Wooo Hooo we can't wait!!! We are also doing the Ultimate Wedding Package. I am curious about the reasons why people are choosing the wedding gazebo over the beach. I am 100% set on doing the beach ceremony but a lot of reviews I have read recommend the gazebo. I thought the one of the points of a destination wedding was to walk barefoot in the sand! Any advice is appreciated. My WC is Carolina any reviews on her would be great too!
