  1. Ours will be Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice. We heard it first while snuggled up watching Lost and it's just always stuck with us.
  2. This thread is great, so much info and a great time-killer for a friday! Now I feel a lot better about the choices I've made so far. The only thing thats bothering me is our wedding is booked for 7pm (not my choice). We have 5 kids going and they're going to fall asleep on their dinner plates...not to mention all the pictures will be in the dark. Why didn't I realize this before?!
  3. Has anyone done a Trash The Dress session and know what makeup definitely stays put? I tested out my "waterproof" liquid liner last weekend at the cottage and it was anything but...though my mascara STILL wont come off... I'm looking for eyeliner and shadow that wont run & lipstick that stays on even after a jump in the ocean. Thanks girls!
  4. I'm going to put my hair half up-half down, and just bought this to go in it. WHITE ORCHID Hair Flower with White by IDoBridalCreations on Etsy A veil looks silly on me
  5. Haha, I had to leave my dress at my parents house to keep me from wearing my dress all the time...I could imagine myself cleaning the oven in it. 4 of 5 girls in our group of friends are married/engaged so we're planning a new years eve wedding dress party when the weddings are all finished!
  6. Beach Starfish Favor of Love My mom ordered these online and they were delivered a week or two ago with no problems, we live in ontario.
  7. These are great! I can't believe how many times I've redone something because I've found a better idea on here. Thanks
  8. Oh, and after my maternity leave was up I stayed home and now watch other kids. We definitely have less money than if I'd gone back to work but I love that I get to be home with her. Also my FI works rotating shifts, so if she was in daycare he wouldn't see her for 2 weeks every month, so that was a big part of my decision to stay home. But being around other kids isn't for everyone, some days they drive me nuts and I've gotten into the habit of only wearing cheap tshirts from walmart because barely a day goes by that a crying kid doesnt wipe their nose on me...
  9. We decided to get married before we had our second child just because we knew we'd get married eventually but if we waited until we had another it would mean no wedding for a few years. But then a few months into our engagment my FI went from not being sure about another child to wanting one NOW! So we gave it a try for a two months, then stopped because we definitely could not pull off a destination wedding with a baby younger than 3 months. I was disappointed, but now that I've experienced all the stress of the wedding planning I'm sooo glad it didn't happen then. So now we wait until November to try again! Baby planning is hard not to obsess about...and seeing that no on the test stick sucks...but aside from the outcome of a wonderful daughter I really hated everything about being pregnant. So it taught me to enjoy the freedom my body has now, things seem to happen in their own time so just enjoy the time between you and your husband while you don't have a kid zapping all your energy and attention
  10. What a pita! Hopefully she gets it now... even if she doesn't appreciate your ideas now when she sees how great everything is at the wedding and how much everyone else loves what you've done she'll tell you it's beautiful and you'll know she means it.
  11. Understandable! My FI and I have been together for 9 years and I always assumed that we'd eventually just decide to get married the way you did. Years ago we talked and wanted to start a family instead of spending a lot of money on a wedding (definitely not a decision a lot of people understand!) But a year ago he actually proposed with a cheapy ring we'd had around and some ring pops, with the intention that I'd pick out my own ring. I didn't think I'd care until after hearing our engagement news people would immediately grab my hand to see my "new ring". But then when I was looking for a ring it didn't feel right that so much would be spent on something just for me when we have a house and a daughter...so my SIL suggested a man made diamond and I really loved the idea. So I got this Diamond Nexus Labs Engagement Rings | Lab Created | Ornate Styles It looks amazing, and theres no difference between a man made diamond or a mined diamond other than where it came from so noone can tell unless you actually tell them yourself. Maybe that's an idea you guys can afford, and you still get a really great ring.

I didn't mind too much, not my wedding color, but I decided that not everything had to match. They're really nice bags. Good luck! I love these bags, and yellow is our colour so they're perfect! But when I tried to order them they won't ship to Canada...arrgh!
  13. I'm having trouble finding somewhere to get 50 bucket hats cheap for my OOT bags. Did anyone get them for theirs?
  14. We're getting married at Dreams Punta Cana in November. Our family and friends are coming for the week of the wedding, then we're staying an extra week for our honeymoon. We've been told that we should go somewhere different for the second week so we aren't bored....so any suggestions on a different Punta Cana resort for the honeymoon? Thanks!
