I just read your "would & wouldn'ts"...you said this..."- Having an after party in the pool after the wedding and then at a bar until 4:30am... had the time of our lives"..how were you able to do that??? Also, did you not have parents come? I'm not sure mine will..although it's tough to say now - I will be shocked if they do. I'm ok with it..I think..

jystar13..I can't WAIT for your review..I'm very excited that we are staying there this January to check it out! The other two resorts we will be visiting are Secrets Silversands and Dreams Riviera Cancun.. We kinda have our money on NOW Sapphire because I'm thinking it's gonna be the most affordable for our guests...!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the foot jewelry as well but I kind of worry about the sand/cement being hot...and people going to the bathroom barefoot...any suggestions? I was thinking about putting the foot jewelry in the bags I give my bm's...? Leaving it optional?? Hmmm...any idea's??

Teira1031..THANK YOU - that helps a lot...one thing - did you just use a regular stapler? Also...did you send your invites in another envelope besides the one with your monogram on it? Thinking it would look nothing like that after going through the mail..

pbjwed...One more quick question - did you actually do a "rehearsal"? Or just the Rehearsal that includes all of your guests??

Teira1031...these are amazing! I was trying to figure our how to fasten ours together..I will be using a ribbon for detail but that won't hold the pages together. Some of the BDW Brides have used gleue - but to me that would be a mess and too nerve wracking! Looks like you just stapled it?? Was that hard? It looks dead on..what did you us/how did you do it so neat?? Thanks SO much for sharing - they are amazing!! Also..what paper did you use for the inside?

Also..wanted to share my idea - my girls will be carrying parasols instead of flowers...we have a large wedding party and the extra flowers are VERY expensive - and it's just not my style. The parasols are about $5 - $8 on www.lunabazaar.com Happy Planning!! I'm lovin' it!!

Hello!! Are any of you NOW brides..NOW Sapphire?? I see a TON of you are NOW Jade - which is still very helpful although we are considering NOW Sapphire - we will be staying there this January for a site visit..our wedding isn't going to be until January 2012...

pjbwed...I can't even tell you how AMAZING your wedding looked!! Just beautiful!! I have a few questions...our wedding isn't until January 2012 so we have some time - although we are heading down there this coming January to site visit three resorts. One of them being DRC...the others are NOW Sapphire, and Secrets Silversands. I feel very fortunate to have found this thread on DRC..you brides have been nothing short of lifesavors!! A few questions.. Did you hire a stylist to do hair and makeup? I also have 8 bm's..trying to decide on the best option - I've seen pics from other brides and some of the updo's haven't survived much of the wind at the ceremony...was it worth it? Do you remember the cost? We were thinking of using DJ MANNIA for our reception...it seems DOREMIXX is very similar. Did you price compare? Was their a reason you picked DOREMIXX? Regarding the large wedding party - we will not be doing our ceremony on the beach (unless we have to)..did somebody help you with where to put your 'maids, and groomsmen? I'm worried about it being so big and not having an actual "rehearsal" we won't really know what to do.. Did you choose to have your cocktail hour on the beach or did it have to be there because of your reception location? Were you happy with that? I do worry about having anything on the beach just due to it not being comfortable...and sand getting EVERY WHERE. Did you have any problems? What is the location of your reception...LOVE IT!! Also love the lighting..was that pricey? Thank you SO much!! Congrats on being a new beautiful wife!!!

ddemayo..who is claudia? Is that a photographer you hired outside of the resort?

ddemayo..can you tell me how much it was to hire the Stylist & Team to do hair and makeup for you at the resort? Also, was it worth it? I've seen pics of previous brides that spend money on their hair that doesn't last through the wind much after the ceremony...
