  1. I guess I should really start looking then. I'm so clueless to this stuff. I will definitely use you ladies as a planning guide!! Thanks so much for the info! Â
  2. Â Well.. I see there are many May 28th B2B out there!! Hey guys!! Â WOW! Many of you ladies have done sooo much! I feel so behind. I sent out my STD's in April and I am now completing my invitations (they are actually sprawled over the table waiting for finishing touches). I didnt plan on dress shopping until January... do you think that's too late? I do know that I will probably pick from the Maggie line but I am not sure yet. Can't really tell until I try some on. Â We've booked at GPJ and I cannot wait. Other fellow GPJ brides here have made me feel at ease!! I won't be visiting the site before the big date so I was very nervous. I have a ton of plans but haven't sat down and actually did any planning. Â We plan on staying at GPJ for 7 nights and then going to another resort for our honeymoon either in Montego Bay or Negril. Any suggestions on that would be very helpful. Â Â
  3. Thanks for the review Mellyrox~ I am getting soooo excited!!
  4. Good Morning ladies, Â Is it too late for me to enter? I know I cannot "win", but I would like to enter for the motivation.
  5. @ Jerseykitten~ thank you sooo much for your help!
  6. @ MsWhatever.. you have been so helpful. Thank you so much!!! Â Congrats on your MC.
  7. Hi GPJ Brides... I have a couple of questions that I do not believe have been asked/answered yet. I will have about 45 ppl booked and there are a few things that I could use some clarification on. I am very "anal" at times (unofficially self-diagnosed as CRAZY LOL) (1) Will the cake be sufficient for 45+ ppl. Do they add additional layers or just include a side cake? I've asked this question but the response was too vague to me. Is it worth buying cake boxes for guests? (2) Does anyone have pictures of the reception area without their own additions? (3) How did you distribute your OOT bags? (4) Do they provide any decorations for the cake/table/etc. And I assume if you have a private reception the cake is provided then.. if you dont, its provided at the ceremony? (5) Do they supply cake cutters? If so, did anyone decorate with ribbon? Anyone care to describe them if so? (6) Did you mail anything there instead of traveling with it?
  8. @ MsWhatever... this is absolutely beautiful!! I am soo excited now. Cannot wait for your full review!!

Responses to earlier questions: 1)Yes there is the beach bar-b-q on Friday; I did not go but based on my experience, no I do not think you will be able to reserve tables- it may be work asking the WC if tables could be set up above the bar, there are tables and chairs there but not sure about fitting 35 comfortably. 2)There are many options to start/end the race...depending on the time, there is a beach grill for grilled burgers for lunch, a water sports area, one of the smaller pools (there are 2) would be a good place to start or end as people waiting could have drinks but it is seculded enough where it would be easy to find everyone 3) Hard to find items...not sure...the time (no one wears a watch) & everyone in our group-lol. Definitely a lot harder than we thought to reach people (there is not voice mail in the rooms)...but bring a lot of suscreen, it was $18 per bottle. I would fill out the wedding coordinator form and request everyone in the same building, we ended up with all but 4 rooms (35 people attended) in 2 adjacent buildings. 4) Food at sports bar...was more bar food style items, not the best for a full dinner. I had the WC get a reseration for 35 at the buffet at no charge so this may also be an option for you. Hope that helps... Thank you sooo much for your help!

  11. Hi Ladies. I have a question for all previous GPJ brides. I would like to do a Meet-N-Greet event, including a game (ie Amazing Race). The event would take place on Friday. So my questions are: (1) I was told there is a BBQ outside each Friday. Is this still the case and would it be possible to reserve tables so everyone could eat together after the race? (2) If there isn't a BBQ, any suggestions on a spot to begin/end the race? I believe I will have 35-40 ppl there. (3) List of anything that everyone was looking for at the resort but couldn't find (or hard to find). (4) I was thinking if no BBQ type style event for Fri, we could meet at the Sports Bar for dinner/drinks/etc. What do you think? Thanks for your help!

  13. So, just received an email from Sherice as well. They are making me nervous with all these changes...
  14. Hi Ladies, I'm not big on asking people for things! I saw some work my cousin did for another family member and would like him to be my photographer for the wedding. I just don't know how I should pay him.... Do I offer to pay for the trip AND pay him on top of that? If so, how much? And if he brings a guest, do I pay for her as well? I want to be "fair" but in reality save $$ as well. LOL
