    Congrats! I'm carefully going to lay my dress over the carryons above us. I called Air Transat to inquire if they could hang my dress up during the flight and they gave me a hard time and told me they can't. I'm still goingto give it a shot anyways. Hi and congrats! We are having our reception dinner at Frutos Del Mer and having the poolside reception afterwards. The cost to have dinner poolside was not in our budget. I'm not too sure which restaurants you'll get to choose from on the Tulum side but Ihear they are all great.

    Is anyonw planning on doing a slideshow? This is the only thing I'd miss most about not getting married at home. I mentioned this to Eugenia awhile back and she never answered me.

    I'm so giddy! I picked up my dress yesterday from the seamstress and thank goodness itstill fits! LOL! I''ve been daydreaming about the beach all week! Have you figured outhow to bring everything down with you without going overboard? I had to buy a new carryon at Winners. I hope it's not too big.

    Hi Kim, Yes we are having it at the beach. You can email DJ Bijian at [email protected] (http://www.mayanvibes.com) We paid a deposit with PayPal. He’s done lots of weddings the resort and is familiar with all the wedding coordinators. I just sent him our song list, so excited! He’s also doing Patourn’s wedding the day before mine! It feels like my emails with Eugenia have hit a wall. I haven’t heard from her in a month. I had so many questions in my last email. She replied to a few of them but for the rest she simply said we will discuss it when you arrive.

    Congratulations! You're going to have a blast planning your destination wedding and this forum is amazing! We have guests from toddlers to seniors coming down for our wedding in October. We chose the Gran Bahia Principe Akumal. We're really happy we chose a large resort that has something for everyone.

    It took Eugenia a while to get back to me to me also. But you take it with a grain opf salt because shge is also handling other brides requests too. We only have 28 guets coming down but we still wnated the poolside recep and DJ. We booked DJ Bijian. It seems like the closer it we get the more questions I have!

    Yea the quality of the suits were great. We were nervous about ordering the suits from so far away but they were really well made. You can provide custom measurments or just choose by jacket size, etc... Â

    Hi Sposa, Â I emailed the resort first to see whether my requested day was available. Once I had pricing for our group I emailed the WC back with our booking number for confirmation.

    Hi, Â I booked him for our wedding at the GBP Akumal on October 28th. I feel reassured that a fellow Canadian is doing the reception. I've heard good things about him from past post.

    Hi Ladies, Does anyone know what the resort charges for outside vendors? I'm thinking of using Fernando Fuentes for makeup. He's pricey but his work looks beautiful.

    Hi Ladies, I was wondering if anyone had incorporated any traditional Filipino weding traditions into their civil wedding. Since I am not haveing a church wedding, much to the dismay of many of my devout Catholic relatives, I wanted to try and include some of the traditions like cord, veil and coins into our ceremony. I would love to hear any thoughts on this or if this is purely mass ceremony specific.

    Hi Everyone! Does anyone have pictures of the seafood restaurant Frutos Del Mar at the Akumal side? We opted to have our wedding reception here. It seems like everyone chooses the Italian one.

    Hey Ladies! I finallyheard back from Paloma and we got the wedding site at Coba. We had originally wanted the Akumal site where we're booked butit wasn't available. Now that we have a confirmed wedding site, it 's beginning to feel real!
