I totally hear you!! My own Step Father said he couldn't come to my wedding because he is saving for retirement. The guy is 65 years old and has enough money!! I dont get it!! If he doesn't want to come for me at least he could come for my mom so she has someone to hang with, but no hes not coming!! Not Impressed!! There are 6 kids in my family and I am the seventh, all my siblings are married and not one person in my family is coming besides my mom. I was very upset at first but I realize that this is OUR day and a DW was what I have always dreamed of, so if they dont want to join us Tough Shit (as the Future Wagners said). We have 44 people joining us mostly friends and my FI family and no matter who comes or doesnt come, this is what we wanted and I know we will have a great time!!

I love your pictures and must say you looked amazing!! Seeing your pictures makes me even more excited for our wedding there. I hope you had an amazing time and am very excited to read your review. Thanks for all your info and the time you put into your planning thread. You have given me many ideas and I thank you for that!!

I love your Dress, it is totally a DW dress!!

We have 30 that booked through our TA and 14 that are going through there own TA. We have way more people then we expected!! Super Excited!!

If the envelope is for money, I am shocked that someone would actually include that... Weird, definitely something I would never do!!

If you are making programs for the ceremonie you could mention something like “In memory of those loved ones who are not with us today” or For those loved ones who could not be with us today, we cherish your memory, and we know that you are smiling down on this blessed event. You could light 2 candles during the wedding ceremony for each of the deceased fathers. You could also set up a special small table at the wedding reception with a flower arrangement and a card saying “In memory of those loved ones who are not with us today” or more specifically, “In memory of (your father and his fathers name)" You could also put a picture of the bride or groom with the deceased person you are honoring. Hope this helps. My father passed away to and I am going to mention him in my programs.

I really like Dress #1 it seems like it would be a lot lighter then the second dress. Good Luck making your decision!!

Me and my FI are paying for the wedding ourselves and I did buy my own dress. My mom doesnt have alot of money and I dont expect her to pay for anything. She is paying to come to our DW and that is all i ask of her. She deserve a holiday and i am very excited she can join us on our big day!!

So Bahiabride2010 your getting married at the same resort. Are you getting married in the gazebo or on the beach? We are going with the Gazebo and having a legal ceremony. I was wondering if you were having the private reception for the supper or if you are just doing the general supper that came with the wedding package. I cant decide what to do!!
