$10 a table for the table clothes? I was quoted $25 per table and $3 for the chair sashes. Im purchasing the chair sashes and table cloths from direct-linens.com. Everything is so much cheaper and linens are definitely easy to travel with. Im thinking of buying hurricane vases to put candles in out here and possibly doing a small floral centerpiece that I can buy in Mexico. Im gonna put maracas out on the tables for favors and will probably use the basic white napkins as well. I booked my stay and the wedding back in January and in February I received an introductory email from Dulce. Once everything is paid for, Im sure youll receive an email from one of the WC's.

One day I emailed Dulce about some questions I had and a few weeks later Wilma emailed me and said she was taking over for Dulce. Ever since then I have been emailing her back and forth and have not been disappointed! YAY! Shalanda!!! The last 2 months go by the fastest!

So my new WC is Wilma and she is awesome!!!! She answers my every question within 1-2 days and isnt vague with her answers. She has been very patient with me and Im so happy she is now my WC. I have a month to go and I needed a WC that responded to me as quickly as she has been doing. YAY for Wilma!!

Correction: we didnt qualify for the full $3000.

I just simply asked my TA. We had already booked Mon-Fri on the Cove side and after the wedding we had booked the rest of our stay on the Spa side. Because we're not staying 5 nights on the cove side, we didnt qualify for the full $1300. If you have a TA ask them to inquire about it, if not I know Yesenia in Miami will definitely help you out.

We're leaving on the 8th for our Nov. 12 wedding also! I feel like it is gonna be hard to deal with also. But then I think about how difficult it is to get the wedding certificate translated and even requesting extra copies. IDK its such a hard decision!

Ive been contemplating doing a symbolic wedding. You dont think you will feel like a "Mrs." tomorrow? Thats whats been stopping me from doing a symbolic, I dont want to feel married before I get to Mexico.

I actually read that a long time ago, but didnt think I could do that with our resort. I just thought it mean switching between 2 completely different resorts. But anyways, Im excited!! Im getting $2250 so YAY!!!

Is this something new? My TA wasnt even aware of this and hes been on top of things lately. This resort is crazy! LOL one minute they say something and the next its something different. Â

Soo..if im staying on the Cove side from Mon-Fri and the Spa side from Fri- to the following Sun (13 days in total) I can split the $1500?

Hey ladies!!! So I really need to get back to being on here as much as I was in the beginning! I cant believe there is only 46 days till the big day..YIKES!  So I have really been slacking with planning. So much to do still.......   NEED: to start the programs to get my dress altered to put together welcome brochure to buy swimwear and honeymoon lingerie wedding jewelery wedding decor OOT bag items hairstyle for me and girls pick out flowers reserve entertainment for cocktail hour get the GM suits (my FI is more of a slacker than I am) buy a new tie for FI suit pick out shoes for FI make place cards plan group excursion get teeth whitened etc....  So far I have:  picked up my dress ordered shoes ordered guesbook ordered totes for OOT bags received BM dresses and shipped them out to the girls booked photog and make-up/hair booked spa services morning of wedding picked out menu for reception booked sound system reserved ceremony and reception location Ordered luggage tags to mail along with a pre-travel brochure picked out earrings picked out gift for MOH booked welcome dinner  and I think thats it. I feel like Im still missing a lot more. Only 1 1/2 months to go and still lots to do!! Hope everyone is doing better than I am!

Ktrant, Â My FI is all about choosing the carribean menu for our reception. Im just wondering is the roased ham like an American ham or is it more like a pernil? The wording is a little confusing. We didnt know if it was poor translation or is it really ham. LOl thanks!

Hey ladies!!! Â Just came back from my 1st bridal shower. It was so much fun!!! It only made the wedding seem so much more real! LOL I have my first bachelorette party this weekend. Cant wait!!! Â There is still so much stuff I need to get done!! Only 60 days left to go and I need to pick up the slack big time!

Usually it takes weeks for me to hear back from her also. I was in shock when she emailed me in 10 minutes LOL

I havent asked her how many weddings are scheduled on the same day. For some reason Im not too worried about it. Im getting there on Monday and the wedding is Friday so I feel like that will give me enough time to plan out things while Im out there. Â Unfortunately, I am going back to Mexico for their wedding. My FI is in the wedding. Its at the Iberostar Paraiso. Im not excited about this, but what can I do? Â The shower was so Nice!!!!!! I was so happy how well my MOH put it together. We played games and the food was soo good. It was at a Portuguese restaurant in Newark and they played music for us. Everybody had a blast! Â

I know!!!! My original wedding date was supposed to be Labor Day weekend and when I switched to Nov I was so upset b/c it felt sooo far away!!! Im still in disbelief that we're only 2-3 months out!! It seemed like when we first started talking we were so naive and uninformed. Now we're like experts. Its so funny to see how state of minds have changed lol  Its funny I just received the invitation for the wedding Im going to in Mexico the day of your wedding. All I could think was, "wow, a little late huh?" lol Â

I feel like it would be cool to have the mariachi band play during cocktail hour. Its hard because during that time you're taking pics and you might miss them. During dinner might be cool too. I hadnt thought of that until you mentioned it. That way you dont have to make a playlist for dinner. I never know what kind of music to play during that time lol  As far as speeches, Ive seen them done right at the end of dinner and also right before dinner is served. I guess it depends on your preference and everything flows together. I think Im going with the right after dinner. I plan to get all the traditional wedding stuff out of the way asap so we can have more time to party!

My time line is as follows: Â Spa services:9-12 Hair and Make-up:11:30 Ceremony: 4pm Cocktail hour: 5-6 (Mexican Trio for entertainment and we'll be taking pics during this time) Reception- 6-10 (docking station for music) Disco party- 10-??? Â Â

Thank you!! I cant believe this has all finally come! I started planning the wedding back in January and I felt like November was so far away back then. Now Im only 2 months out. YIKES! Â I cant wait for the spa day. At this point Im more excited about that then anything, well besides the wedding of course lol. Â

Hey ladies!! Ive been MIA for a little while.  Im getting married on 11/12. Im so excited!!! I cant believe how fast time is moving. This Saturday is my bridal shower, cant wait! The week after that, is my Houston bachelorette party then the weekend of Oct. 1st is my Jersey bachelorette party...then the wedding! Yikes!  I hired Adrian Herrera for photography, his work is amazing! I hired Fernando for hair and make-up. Im just buying day passes for everyone.  I purchased the Diamond package and will probably just pick out all of the decor down there. I dont want to travel with a bunch of things to Mexico so Ill probably hit up the local Walmart or Playa for hurricane vases for centerpieces and what not.  I was gonna hire the DJ, but he was way too pricey so I just went with the docking station. Im only expecting about 45ppl so Im sure the music will be loud enough for everyone to hear. I plan on going to the disco after the reception to continue the party  I already made an appt for the salon for mani, pedi and massages for the bm's. Im so excited to spend the morning of my wedding at the spa with my besties!  I too recently reached my 75 room nights!! I actually have about 3 or 4 more people booking on top of that. Its so exciting!! Now I can email Dulce to reserve my welcome dinner and brunch (day after wedding) locations.  I think thats it so far regarding the resort planning. Still have lots of little things to do still.

That's funny! I moved here last year with my fiance from Jersey! All of our famiy are friends are back home also.
